Thurman's strategy tonight: fight a 40 year old journeyman with no punching power...

Uh yeah.. that strategy won't work against a guy who is 1-1 against Mayweather in his last two fights with serious knock out power in both hands...

Thurman was exposed last night like a lot of power punchers who pad their resume fighting bums for years and years...

Thurman would have to take a very low split to get the Maidana fight... and then Thurman would get the Broner treatment...

thurman will simply knock maidana out cold. maidana can't move around like whoever the hell that guy was last night.

i think thurman will always look great against come-forward fighters and underwhelming against craftier guys

i would pick thurman to beat maidana, but khan to beat thurman. yet i would also pick maidana to beat khan in a rematch

Maidana would be a nice fight to watch, but I would also like to see Thurman fight Brook for his title. I think Thurman is choosing Maidana because he knows Maidana is one dimensional, and soft to the body. However, Maidana might make Thurman look like a runner, and Thurman could lose just like Lara did to Canelo, If I'm Thurman, Brook is high risk/high reward. Maidana is high risk/low reward.

Would you say he's like the John Starks of SGs
