    I suppose that's the logic.

It's amazing that the ex-lineal champion of the division, and an amateur standout need gift decisions to "win" against a "D" class fighter.

Your reasons why he gets robbed are correct but lots of us like him because he fights his heart out and beats guys with more natural ability than he has even though they rob him.

        Great timing and ring iq.
great balance and a good jab.

He lacks power top speed .very good chin and durable. He is the best at 140 imo. Crawford should fight herrera next and id be very happy. Great fight that would be .

So what does that say about Garcia then? Losing unofficially to a "D" class fighter?

He doesn't create an image of dominance and overall ring generalship. Cleto_Reyes said in another thread that it wasn't a robbery because Benavidez landed the better/harder shots. That's probably why the score-cards looked the way they did.
Good post. It wasn't like the Garcia fight where Herrera basically out-worked, out-landed, & landed cleanly to an easy 9-3 win.

This fight I could see being close to Jose, but the wide scores even then.. Wow.

But ill tell you what, he knows how to box and do it effectively.
                  no.

Herrera is often in close decisions because of his style and the appearance that he doesn't carry all that much of a punch. He's a 'spoiler', so to speak, without the athleticism/flash to open up the scoring of a fight.

He's good enough to give anyone a hell of a fight, but he doesn't have the style to clearly win 7 rounds

There were a couple close rounds imo, but it's the scorecards I have an issue with. 9-3 for Benavidez? come on now. I wish Herrera had more physical talent like Khan/Lara/Floyd, because then this wouldn't happen to him. He's doing as well as he can with what he has, and he just can't seem to make it clear enough to the judges. This is why I would pick Matts/Peterson/Broner over him, even if he's made a good case for victory.
