Those guys clinches because they can't sustain that type of movement for the entire fight. Algieri can.
Alexander also held excessively, so I won't brag about that as some sort of feat.
Provodnikov made it close but he was outboxed period, same fate awaits Maidana if he ever fights Algieri.

Algieri has faster feet than Maidana. Algieri is better conditioned and can maintain the movement for 12 rounds, Maidana gases late due to his "relentlessness". Algieri has a better jab, Maidana just learned to jab.

So who needs head movement when your opponent can't even get near enough to work on the inside? Same opponent that will eat the jab all night that is.

What we know is that Algieri went life and death with Provodnikov, and wasn't competitive for even 10 seconds of the Pacquiao fight.

And we know that Maidana was shutout by Alexander (who is leaps and bounds better than Algieri) and went life and death with Khan (Leaps and bounds better than Algieri), almost killed Broner and damn near beat Floyd Mayweather once.

And we're supposed to believe that he can't beat Algieri because he can move around the freaking ring?

Algieri does a lot of wasted movement in there...... he's not some master boxer y'all are making him out to be. Provodnikov has no jab and slow foot work and was able to find Algieri. I mean damn lmao we're talking about Algieri here! He doesn't control distance, he doesn't set traps, he doesn't counter punch, he's no master of inches and angles. The most impressive thing about Algieri is that he can take punishment for 12 rounds.....that's it.

Ps....I don't give a damn about height or reach when it come to Algieri because a guy like him doesn't have the skill to use his physical attributes to his advantage anyways, so the point you made about height and reach is moot.

Maidana and Chris Algieri sparring, Maidana goes hard in sparring he spars like he is in a real fight so Chris had to adjust. I dont think he will be nervous if he fought Maidana, for some reason fighters tense up with Pacman because he has that aura to him, Mosley ran for the first time in his career when he fought Pac and looked like he saw a boogeyman when he was left on the canvas watery eyed.
