It would have nothing to do with the fact that most people in the UK are either indifferent to Khan or just find him extremely annoying.

I would suggest that Khan's biggest fan base is with young, uneducated, UK Pakistani males in the larger Northern towns and cities.

Most people don't hate Khan, they just don't care about him at all.
Proffesors Diggler & Guiness laying it down on the lowbrow populace!

    Wind your necks in gentlemen.

That said I don't think it's a fight that the Khan's fancy , he don't want his chocolate brownie !
Maybe do the O2? Which planet are you living on? Step into reality.

People forget that Froch-Groves was sold out in an hour. That was 60k. Then they released another 20k seats, sold out straight away.

Brook-Khan would fill Wembley, I'll bet every single cent I own that it would. Boxing is on a wave at the moment, it seems 20k arenas are sold out every other week for small fights. Khan-Brook would be massive and Sky would hype it beyond belief.

        I'd be very doubtful.

Just cos Froch - Groves 2 was massive doesn't mean Khan - Brook would be. I'll not claim to have a finger on the boxing pulse in the UK, but I'd say Froch is more popular than Khan and Brook is still relatively unknown (despite his title) to the broader public, much as Groves was before Froch I.

Course, it partly depends on how well the fight is promoted and sold, but it wouldn't have the controversy and anticipation that made Froch - Groves II almost sell itself.

I didn't say the only people but the vast majority. They're the kind of people who would boo someone like Carl Froch - the man got booed in his hometown after everything he has done for that place.

The type of Arsenal fans who would boo and hurl abuse at Arsene Wenger after all he's done for the club. Scum, gutter ****.

I think it's quite obvious why you don't like Khan from the insinuations that he only achieved fame because he's Pakistani. And now another reference to Pakistanis. I'm not Pakistani or uneducated or Nothern.

Khan is admired by many people in the UK for representing the country in the Olympics at 17 years old as Britain's only boxer. For going to America to fly the flag abroad and win world titles. For his charity work outside of boxing.

The UK population stretches beyond these sporting events which attract riff-raff like yourself.

it is possible especially if Brook and Khan have 1 or 2 more big wins

i hope both men win the upcoming bouts, this fight is important 4 british boxing and who knows there may also be a rematch

Khan should fight Thurman first. All-time great my as$. He got starched in a round by a bum. How many all-time greats you know that happened to? Also shows no interest in avenging his defeats to Peterson and Garcia. Just craves a payday vs Floyd.

Well lets face it,most of British people loved Hatton despite his lack of boxing skills but only because he is white. If Amir khan was white the same British people would have never booed or hated on him while his picture was displayed on the screen of Froch and Groves fight.
Khan obviously made some mistakes while he was young and upcoming champion but now he is a grown man and accepting his weaknesses and that's the reason he switched to Virgil Hunter. When Amir was young he rightfully felt that majority of his fans were desi people from Pakistan and some Indians so he let it known to the people what he felt. But with passage of time Khan has matured, has married and is a father now. He does not show off with expensive watches or cars anymore which annoyed his followers.

15,700 showed up for Fury-Chisora and Saunders-Eubank, but Khan-Brook does 50k-100k? I know it's a bigger fight, but not that much bigger.

Froch-Groves was an anticipated rematch with alot of seasoning. Those two hated each other intensely over a long period of time and built that fight into a soap opera. Khan-Brooks might do 30k, likely 20k.

this doesn't end up in wembley... both guys have large northern fan-bases and its a personal rivalry between the two rather than a rivalry that's captured the nation. on that mark, i reckon they could pack out bramhall lane or hillsborough but thats still 30-35k... if khans or brook does something exceptional in their next fights, then maybe it could get bumped up to the etihad. it would have to be a humdinger of a fight to warrant a rematch which i think old trafford would host the best
