Froch has a huge financial incentive to fight these guys. He will bank a minimum of £1.5m with each fight in my opinion.

It's not like he has Floyd or Manny type money where he's drowning in more than he can spend.

If he's smart he'll take fights he believe he can win and make bank doing so, he needs to capitalize on his popularity and turn it into £'s.
Froch is loaded, money isn't going to be the thing that stops him retiring.

He has made plenty of money from fight purses alone, he has very good investments, real estate...He is an intelligent guy and has said many times that he's not a big spender.

He wants a Vegas fight, that's it. He's done everything else; world titles, faced the best, made big money, become a star....the Vegas farewell fight is all that's left.

According to your thoughts I guess Hearn and Goldenboy shouldn't put on small fight cards and solely concentrate on the big fights since that's where they get paid the most.

Like I said a guy like Froch is content with making pennies from his property but shouldn't fight for a few million, okay.

By the way seeing your Avi, isn't Khan meant to be a practising good ****** role model, wtf is up with his wife dressing that way. Dude is clearly stuck between religion and Western fashion, would love for someone to ask him about his wife's taste in fashion (no hate since I like Khan and think he will give Mayweather a interesting fight).
I'm not talking about Hearn or Golden Boy, I'm talking about Carl Froch - a professional fighter who has to get up in the morning to do hill runs and hard sparring. He has to train for weeks and get hit in the head. When there's no real incentive to do so, it becomes harder to put in the effort.

A good business minded person would want to paid what they're worth not just take whatever because it will give them a bit more pocket change.

I'm sure Carl Froch is fine. He doesn't need to fight again to pay the bills

Something you clearly have no clue about. First of all, at this stage of his career, Froch doesn't really want or have to move up in weight. He makes 168 very comfortably.

Secondly, if you think those guys net the same kind of money a Chavez Jr fight would, then....like I said...you haven't got a clue.

Not Froch's biggest fan but he his resume speaks volumes of who hes fought. I'd love him to get a Ward rematch as his final match - win/lose/draw. That could be a Vegas fight...but we all know Wards got a bit of a promotional situation on his hands.

Honestly, I don't get some of the posters' thinking.

Yes, Froch still has lucrative options. Does that mean he shouldn't retire? No, on the contrary. If at the time of your retirement you don't have options that make at least some financial sense, it means you should have retired years before.

Lewis could have had the Vitali rematch. Calzaghe could have fought Dawson, Froch, Kessler rematch etc. Vitali could have had a couple more sold out fights even against bums. Does that mean they were wrong to retire? Don't think so.

A good business minded person would NOT turn their nose up at 1.5-5m a fight especially near the end as most who have been around as long as Carl with the exception of Hopkins can not demand these still huge amounts of money. If you think your'e opinion makes any sense please keep posting your ridiculous posts and keep entertaining ....and ps. Have you thought of anger management classes as you can't see eye to eye with anyone....hope this helps...Dirk.

Yes they would if they earned £9m for their last fight and they know that they can earn a similar amount (Chavez fight).

What kind of spazzy-derptastic suggestion is it to move up in weight at 37 years old and fight someone like Kovalev in a fight that would be an absolute war where you'd take ****loads of punishment....and all for pocket change!

Or you can fight a glorified bum like Chavez for massive money.

We get it. You'd happily get bummed raw dog on the cheap. That's you.

Sorry to interrupt this important, high-stakes e-battle, but not only are you dead wrong about this topic, now you are resorting to keyboard warrior tactics.

"I want to fight in Vegas. My heroes all fought there and it's a box I've never ticked."

He's talking about Joe Calzaghe here, for sure.
