Froch has a huge financial incentive to fight these guys. He will bank a minimum of £1.5m with each fight in my opinion.

It's not like he has Floyd or Manny type money where he's drowning in more than he can spend.

If he's smart he'll take fights he believe he can win and make bank doing so, he needs to capitalize on his popularity and turn it into £'s.
In all honesty he's already done that, he's banked millions with Kessler II and Groves I & II. He made a great payday against Bute and has earned through endorsement deals and other media work...not to mention the S6, that surely didn't hurt.

Froch, if he's been smart with his money, is loaded for life and can set a great foundation for his children already.

"I need to reiterate that I'm not fighting for money. I've invested wisely and I've got a very big property portfolio. My brothers are both in the building game and so they redevelop my houses and get them ready for renting. I've also got a flair for architectural design. I was always good at art at school. I love buildings and I've made a lot of money out of property. So I'll be busy once the fighting stops."

        He'll be fine.

Would love to see him in one last scrap in Vegas though...

I really doubt TR & Haymon come to terms for a mega fight prior to October 2015 when Chavez's contract runs out. I also doubt TR will let Chavez take a low level tune-up fight that allows him to end the contract before the October date. They've invested too much into his career to just let him go off with Haymon and make millions right away.

I'm not too concerned about this fight coming off anyways, Chavez is a **** fighter. His punching power is vastly overrated from the Lee & Manfredo fights where both were stopped by Lawrence Cole with the guys still on their feet. Don't forget Lyell, Duddy, Rowland, Zbik, Vanda, Vera and Rubio all stayed comfortably on their feet through all 10-12 rounds vs Chavez. Now we're taking away his size advantage, adding a year of inactivity, going on years without a real trainer and putting him in with a legit killer in Froch. If Carl's only got 1-2 fights left in him, this is a waste of a fight. He would treat Chavez like a pinata.

If there's one fight I desperately want to see before Froch retires, it's him and Golovkin at 168lbs. Too bad neither guy seems to be in an immediate hurry to fight the other though. Golovkin says he wants to unify at 160 first and Froch says Golovkin isn't worth the money yet. Hopefully HBO rolls the dice and makes it a ppv and gets it made.

Froch deserves to have a big stage fight in Vegas against anybody.

Fighters with Froch's style and approach don't usually stay at the top till their late 30's the way he has done. He's been in some real wars, the kind that leave their mark and shorten careers.
He doesn't need the money, so if he feels the motivation isn't there, I'd much rather see him retire and go out as a champion, rather than take that one fight too many. I'd miss him, but all good things come to an end sometime.

I am trying my best to be objective but I just do not see how anyone can have Froch in the top P4P list. Seriously? In all honesty, who has really dominated in his career except for Bute and Abraham? Does this sound like a P4P fighter:

                      - Won highly competitive fights with Pascal, Johnson and Kessler (did not dominate at all)
                      - Lost every single round to Ward (was actually embarrassed to most)
                      - Lost 11 rounds to Taylor than got a stoppage in the 12th
                      - Lost to Kessler
                      - Got a BS hometown decision over Dirrell
                      - Has not even mentioned fighting Bhop, GGG or Kovalev who are all 8lbs within his weight.

How is this someone who can be mentioned in the same list with guys who have barely ever lost a couple of rounds and who have dominated 80-90% of the guys they fought? It boggles my mind. To mention Froch in the same list as Floyd, Pac, JMM, Ward, Wlad is a complete insult. Calzaghe would have mopped the floor with Froch. Bhop even at 50 would easily win a decision over Froch. Now he wants to retire before he has to fight GGG or Kovalev. Froch is so overrated its nauseating.
