In all reality although most including myself would pick GGG. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Lemieux caught GGG with something early. With power like that, one cannot be counted out.

Cotto has been given one voulantary fight. After that, GGG has the right to fight for the WBC belt. IMO it would be very ****** to risk losing that opportunity. Whether it's Cotto, Canelo or if the title is vacated, Golovkin is in the mandatory position.
I didn't think of that tbh. He DEFINITELY shouldn't do anything that sabotages his mandatory status. I just don't want to see 3G sit on the shelf for any amount of time. I hope this whole Cotto/Canelo negotiations go as smoothly as possible so he can beat the belt off them and increase his star-power at the same time.

Dangerous fight for GGG. Would advise him to box Lemieux where he has a big skill advantage.

I would like to see this fight next, after GGG beats Murray, but if GGG can get a fight with Canelo or Cotto I would like to see that first.

It would be fun to watch but I doubt its realistic any time soon, Lemieux is just really getting back on track so I doubt they put him in with Golovkin that soon. Maybe im wrong, I hope so because id like to see it but theres a lot of middleweights that are less dangerous and lets be honest, thats the direction boxing is headed.

we'll right no one wants GGG sitting on the shelf but we know he stays active. So if Cotto vs Canelo happens that will be in May, meanwhile GGG can fight Murray in February, than Lemieux in April/May/June, and then hopefully fight for the WBC title late 2015. I think that's a very good stretch of opponents, and would obviously be a fighter of the year candidate if he wins all those fights.

GGG's chin will be tested in this fight.

So you're not keen on the Korobov fight? I'd rather see GGG in a unification fight.

My thing is this, Lemieux isn't ranked in the top 10 MWs, let alone top 5. People are already saying Golovkin hasn't fought anyone, he's fighting bums, his fights don't last long etc.

If he kayos Lemieux in 2 rounds, he gets no credit and it does nothing for his legacy. Lemiuex would just become another bum. I say let Lemieux box his way to the top first, let him fight Geale or N'Dam or someone.
