Golovkin is usually cautious early in fights until he finds his range. He bombed out Rubio because Rubio pressed the action and Golovkin fired back in an exchange. If Lemieux does that, and he probably would, then he's getting KO'd early.
Or Lemieux shells up like Stevens and tries to stun 3G with a counter.

I think Lemieux should fight Korobov/Lee for the WBO belt next, and then Quillin/N'Dam. GGG/Lemieux in late 2015.

I don't even think Lem has a punchers chance, he wouldn't get off first properly.
      GGG lays him out.

Lemieux isn't going to be backing GGG up. Golovkin would stop him in 6.

I could see it being a little nervous in the beginning though, as both guys have to watch out for the other's power.

Late 2015 may not be an option depending on what happens with Cotto, presumably he's fighting Canelo in May... who knows with that. But GGG is mandatory to the WBC belt. Whatever happens with the WBC belt whether Cotto/Canelo are forced to defend it, or its vacated. If Lemieux really wants GGG he should probably take a chance at him around April.

HBO should ask for Lemieux vs. Korobov/Lee. After GGG beats Murray, I think he should give SMW a try. If he loses, he'll still have his MW belts so he can continue with his campaign. 3G shouldn't worry about Cotto/Canelo because that's out of his control. Just keep wrecking shop until those two work their **** out.

This is one of those fights that sounds better than it probably will be. Probably a very early ko for Golovkin unless Lemieux shows he has tremendous whiskers.

No way. GGG needs to fight the Canelo-Cotto winner, no excuses. Ideally Canelo.

I would rather GGG move up and fight Chavez Jr/Froch/Groves, then fight Lemieux after Canelo/Cotto.

Golovkin-Lemieux would be a fun and potentially explosive fight, but I doubt he would get any credit for beating Lemieux. In fact, I am 100% he wouldn't. People will want him to face a power puncher/legit threat just like they did before Stevens and then after the fight they're going to say David had a glass chin and got KO'd by an old man Rubio.

Either way.... Canelo/Cotto has to be next after Murray, first and foremost, IMO.

Would he lose his mandatory WBC spot if he moved up in weight after Murray ? Too risky to do that since he will be able to force his mandatory position. Cotto has been given one voulantary fight. After that, GGG has the right to fight for the WBC belt. IMO it would be very ****** to risk losing that opportunity. Whether it's Cotto, Canelo or if the title is vacated, Golovkin is in the mandatory position.

I hope Golovkin doesn't fight this dude, GGG should be fighting elite level fighters. He should be aiming for the big dogs now. Carl Froch, Andre Ward, etc.
