My dad has been wanting me to join boxing for a few years, but I keep telling him they wont let me join because I wear glasses. I wouldnt mind joining but I know it isnt possible so can someone please confirm that I cant join so I can print this out and show it to him? Thanks.

u can wear glasses and box if ur real real good lol

nah u couldnt wear contacts really and prescription googles work in other sports but boxing deals with lots of direct contact to the head so being visually impaired makes it difficult to box indeed

just go in and get knocked out a couple times and theyll kick u out the gym probably

Get laser eye treatment, then you wont need to wear glasses and you will be able to box too.

Well I am gonna give it a shot, but I just figured that there was a rule that you can't join if you wear glasses. Of course I would take them off! What kind of dumbass would leave them on? I am near sighted so I guess it wouldnt be much of a problem since they arent punching you from 5 yards away. On another note, how much does it usually cost to join a city-run boxing gym?

I wear glasses and i can get in the gym. when i spar i just take them off im ok cause im stood right in front of my oponent and i can see ok
