Here is his old trainer, the late Manny Steward ranking him at 8th. He even ranks Lennox Lewis higher.

Yeah he ranked him at 8th how many years ago?

You can't go up in ranking through the years... ???

What a fail thread, wouldn't expect anything special from the likes of an Arsenal fan though.

Most of the people putting Wlad at the top are talking about "head to head" along with guys like Lewis because they would be so imposing for older fighters.

Several have better resumes in a traditional ranking context.

It's like an argument nobody ever has but everyone always feels the need to "debunk" anyway.

Someone may believe Hopkins or Golovkin could have beaten SRR but that doesn't mean they're ranking those guys above him in resume.

It's all pretty circular and pointless anyway IMO. Nobody ever has their mind changed very much by anyone else.

When did he give this interview? Steward died on October 25, 2012. Since then, this has happened:

Unfortunately, we can't bring him back for a revised opinion.

If Wladimir goes unbeaten through 2015 beating the likes of Jennings, Wilder/Stiverne and maybe also Fury what then...?
Even when he is winning he is losing because he will always have people trying to criticize his every move.

This was before Haye fight and I remember Steward saying that Wlad-Haye is 2nd biggest fight in his career.

I rank him fifth all time. Ali, Louis, Lewis and Holmes (in that order) are ahead of him in my top ten.

                    This thread is poor though.
