Styles make fights...mayweather would deal with JCC better than the other way around

Lesser fighters beat JCC at or near prime or outboxed him for long stretches...mayweather is all wrong for JCC

This ain't 38 year old Floyd but the young prodigy who was 23 had it all...speed, defense, power, poise and skills

I was about to agree and then I recall Floyd Castillo 1.....it's hard to imagine Castillo was better then Chavez....I would buy the PPV if we had a time machine of some sort though

i dont see why not. sure chavez could have stayed in there and even dished out some punishment of his own but he had no chance of winning at that stage and was going to take a ferocious beating down the stretch. allowing that to transpire would be unnecessary.

he wasnt breaking floyd down, floyd was breaking him down and he doesnt have the power to get rid of him with one punch or the versatility to find success through other means.

I believe Chavez was up on the cards and needed a KO to win (lord knows how)

I was surprised by the stoppage, but it was coming.

He was on up Ledermans scorecard; who as long as you throw a bunches you win the round no matter if they don't land.

I think he was even on Lederman's, going I to the final round. That's also a terrible card.

I don't know for sure, I tried to search it recently, but I watched a video recently and it said in there that Chavez was ahead on the cards and Mayweather needed a KO to win.

I'm glad Mayweather picked up the pace because he was about to face an ugly robbery. Chavez fought his heart out, all the credit in the world to him but he wasn't doing as well as the commentating suggested. Still, I can honestly say I've never seen a fighter come at Mayweather with that kind of activity. Chavez kept that pace against a Mayweather who can not only punch but do so in bunches and he didn't let up until the late rounds, incredible. You can tell Chavez trained his ass off.

Chavez was a very good fighter.

I've never seen Morales as hurt as he was against Chavez when he was close to his prime.

If Chavez didn't injure his arm early, I think he'd have won that fight with Morales. He almost won with one arm.
