The problem with 90% of this 'hating on fighters' bull**** is 'cause we're all sat there watching fights and seeing adverts of a fighter, excerpts from interviews and the Sky Sports media team creating highlight reel KOs, with flashing effects and clips of commentator's audio that claim them to be something special.

So we take the opinions of biased commentators/promoters and then project that onto the fans who share that fighter's nationality.

It's like for all the hype that exists on TV, magazines, interviews we counteract it here on the Scene. If a fighter has no hype on the outside, you best believe he's much loved on here. I haven't seen anyone proclaim Khan to be something special on this website, I do however see a lot of that shit on TV. Then I see posters on here saying 'blah blah' is overrated and I'm thinking what the fuck? Is he? 'Yeah, there's no way he'll beat a Klitschko' ...who the fuck said he would?

That's why you get all this **** about Brits overhyping their fighters in a comment thread about Eddie Hearn proclaiming Anthony Joshua to be the next Lennox Lewis, as if that's a view point held by the rest of us Brits.

What, you mean the fans who ask questions such as ''is Khan is the greatest of all time?''

Are you seriously that gullible that you believe that FlatLine and the other twat are actual Khan fans and not just trolls?

You think asking if Khan is the greatest of all time is a worthy and legit question?

Those two are the only ones who spam the forum 24/7, they are obvious trolls who must be Boxingscene's very own trolls given how their ridiculous threads never seem to get deleted and how a Khan thread is always guaranteed to get many hits on here, usually with most posts reminding everyone of how terrible he is.

Furthermore, this forum is full of a lot of flies. Any time a fighter is proclaimed to be 'the shit' after picking up a good win and being chummed by the press - people are all over him.

Then he loses and the bandwagon dies, pictures of that fighter vanish from signatures/avatars. They forget all about 'em once their '0' goes or it turns out that they won't be the best of this generation.

I find that people aren't fans of the fighter, they're fans of that fighter's success. They don't appreciate his fighting style or ability, they just appreciate the fact he's unbeaten in 30 fights and he's considered the best.

Back to the topic of Khan. He gets a lot of stick because he's a chinny guy with belief and that automatically means that he's delusional 'cause who won't knock him out, right? He does have a nasty habit of saying some really ****** things at times, which is what really goes against him more so than anything.

khan is a solid fighter, hes fast as hell, but like alot of fighters hes not great. this does not mean the dude does not deserve respect, sometimes i wonder if the posters here have actually tried this sport out to actually see how hard it is to be good at. for these guys to reach the level they have reached in this sport speaks volumes! not every fighter will be great but all of them deserve respect.

i see the same pattern in most of his fans, some are more reasonable than others, like boxoffice.
