Why isn't Floyd Mayweather more grateful to Oscar when Oscar made him famous?

You'll find it only takes a couple posts by Joseph from calabasas to realize he's an idiot. Being a victim and perpetuating black victimization is his identity. It's played out. Bad.

i really wish people would stop saying Golden Boy pays Floyd they don't. CBS corporation pays Floyd Mayweather. With Golden Boy having a LLC when Mayweather Promotions didn't CBS gave Golden Boy the funds since they aren't a Promotion company. Golden Boy was a sub-contractor for the funds.

As far as gratitude is concerned Floyd was a P4P fighter since 98 Oscar had nothing to do with that; he wasn't a club who Oscar out the goodness of his heart gave him a shot ala Apollo Creed and Rocky. Both of them made good money together after there fight what else do you want. Nobody else has to give to fighters who was there opponent in super-fights.

So the only reason he's a major shareholder now is because all the other ones pulled out. You really think they were going to trust an inexperienced drug addict?

Golden Boy Promotions president and co-founder Oscar De La Hoya has bought out the two largest shareholders in the company besides him, at their request.

In a deal recently completed, De La Hoya bought back Anschutz Entertainment Group's approximate 20 percent stake in the Los Angeles-based company and the approximate 12 percent of the company held by Gabriel Brener, a private investor and chairman and CEO of Brener International Group
Did you read the part where it says BESIDES HIM? He was already the majority share holder before this, this just means has a bigger piece now. The company is called GOLDEN BOY for god sakes. Lol.

                Oh Really?

De La Hoya was quoted in a story in La Opinion, a Spanish-language newspaper, as saying his former promoter, Bob Arum, could not handle the success of a Mexican. He went on to mention Arum's ***ish faith in what many would call a careless manner.

On Friday, De La Hoya issued an apology.

"In an interview last week with a reporter at La Opinion, I made certain remarks regarding my former promoter, Bob Arum, that I sincerely regret," De La Hoya said. "I did not mean to insult Bob Arum and his family or any ethnic or religious group in any way. I humbly apologize to anyone the remarks offended.

right, because without the schtick, for all his style with no ko at the end of it, he would be as hot a commodity as andre ward is...
