If Floyd loses t o Manny like how Algieri was dominated people are going to feel so ****** and ashamed of themselves for allowing Floyd to be called pound4pound for so many years. Like how people feel when they found out they've joined a pyramid scam.

No because he is clearly past his prime.... If he keeps fighting high level guys he will lose eventually... He is nearing 40 years old.. If he loses now, it's understandable, and shouldn't drsg down his legacy

It depends on how he lost so to speak.
It depends on who he had lost with. If he lost to someone we know who got a style he would have beaten when he was young, then, we could attribute it to father time, thus, perception won't be changed.
If however, someone with new style that beat him, like say manny pacquiao style, which is something he had never seen before, then, it's a different thing, remember both of these guys are older now too and manny is ever more battle-worn between the two. If manny beats him, it means he can't deal with that particular style and he is not the best as what he believes himself to be, he just simply hasn't encountered enough elites throughout his cherry picking years that will give him problems eventually. Thus, perception of him able to adjust to any style must be change because it simply isn't true, in fact, everything must change and every historian should look at what might have happen if floyd could have fought all the elites he had skipped throughout his career. So lesson here, he mustn't lose to Manny Pacquiao on at all cost.

If he wants to be high ATG its IMPORTANT he loses. But with that loss, he must comeback from adversity and show it was an off night. All high ATGs lost because otherwise you will be accused of not having fought everyone at the right time or didnt take fights you should have.
Losing to great fighters is no shame in that. For instance Pac lost to JMM, but people take into consideration Pac had beat him 2 or 3 times already and was chasing a ko. Also Pac rebounded from his loss.
If Floyd wants to be complete he must lose, its every important to him. Otherwise he will be another Sven Ottke and Marciano and Calzaghe. If he loses and comesback he will be in anothe category of SRL, Pac, Duran, Ali and SRR.
