Bottom line is GBP under Schaefer didn't do well. Schaefer was there for ceremonial reasons. He left GBP with nothing to show for it, financially.
Have you ever thought of writing a fiction book. You seem smart and the stories you come up are fascinating.

Yeah Golden boy got a flat fee.

They way they made money was using Mayweather as a bargaining chip to networks and having Mayweather fight exclusively Golden Boy fighters. Plus most the under card was Golden Boy fighters which they got to promote and secure them big purses so they got their percentage.

It shows their commitment to boxing. If they had money to waste on it, they could have bumped it by 15m and left Hbo in the dust. And even if ppv losses dont impact this years budget, you better believe itll impact next years

I agree that his purse is guaranteed.

The difference is Floyd wanted to be a promoter to maximize his potential earnings. 3 outta those 4 fights didn't break even.

I'd be more worried about Espinoza green lighting all these crappy Haymon cards again next year. That dude is in Haymons pocket and we are getting mismatch after mismatch. At least we get Khan Alexander soon, that's a half decent fight.
Espinoza gotta go..time to stand up and turn down these crap fight for the so called superstar fighters.

            • To be honest it's CBS/Showtime's fault mostly because they allow Floyd to take those fights instead of ones that truly matter.

When you have the biggest pussy in boxing fighting C level fighters for 20m+, he's going to keep on doing it.

It was. What's your point? Think that I won't talk bad about other boxers/fights?

Revenue after fights and purses IS a reason why fights do or do not happen. I understand you don't like fan boys saying dumb stuff like "floyd has more money in the bank than manny." Those comments, in themselves, do not stop fights, but the overall issue of money DOES. It drives everything in the sport.
