Exactly this, there's no way they expected this fight to sell. I can't see how Floyd doesn't use this dagger if negotiations go down though.

I kinda expected #'s like that but I don't know if I trust the info just because Rick Glazer is telling me. Inside info? Everyone has that.

IF true, this is less than Manny's 1st ppv and lower than Canelo's last ppv and the Sergio/cotto ppv that were both considered disappointments. Not good.

Consumers have stopped supporting both Floyd and many at the levels they used to but Manny's drop has been significant.

Lets just hope this doesn't impede the fight getting made.

No wonder people stop supporting PPV, all of a superstars fights shouldn't be on PPV...these showcase bouts from Manny(Rios,Chris) and Floyd(Guererro,Ortiz) should not be PPV fights. PPV should be reserved for special events...Serg/Cotto was a PPV undercard fight if you ask me, chief support, but an undercard fight. With worse undercards, worse main events most of the time and more PPV's than ever this can't really be a surprise to anyone.

Stop trying to lessen the blow. Manny just isn't as popular or as much of a force as you and other pac fans on NSB claim. Fans are getting turned off by his continuing to campaign at WW and make these kind of fights and are showing their displeasure by not buying the fights.

I tend to agree that the PPV model era is nearing its end. Prices have just gotten way out f control. Its one thing to pay for a Floyd/many/Tyson/odh fight in your home because the ppv was lower than the cheap tickets.

PPV's should only be huge fights or event like a chavez v canelo.

Whatever the reasons are, it's not up for debate that Manny is losing a lot of ground in PPV sales.

Back in the late 90's and early 00's I actually got excited for a lot of PPV's and would try and talk my friends into watching them with me....now I don't bother. The biggest PPV in the last while was Floyd/Nelo and IMO that was a crappy event too, Garcia fight was good, but it's sad that it was a treat to have a good fight on an undercard.
