Wow, horrible, #Pacquiao PPV reputedly did just over 300,000 buys & its the lowest #Manny #PPV figure since becoming a super star. #boxing

Horrible numbers if you ask me, considering Pac is the 2nd biggest Boxing PPV attraction out there. Even Canelo coming off a loss to Mayweather did like 350k against gatekeeper like Angulo.

That makes 40M plus 35% Upside offer look like a Generous one.

Well he's not the only one saying it. If Rios-Pac did 350-400k why would we expect more from Algieri?

i was just wondering in general. i see him cited a lot around here but i'm fuzzy as to what his actual sources are. and i recall bigpoppapump discrediting him at some point.

              Pac is not American.
PPV is not what it once was.
The fight took place in Macau
Algieri is not a name at all and has no fanbase.
There wasn't that much hype around the fight.
Pac's loss to Marquez did affect his PPV buys a bit but I feel as though there are a number of factors.

I guarantee you Arum did not expect this to do well and that having the fight in Macau in some way recuperated those losses for him.

Bob Arum doesn't expect good numbers from Pacquiao/Algieri. He's smarter than that.

From the info. he drops, it's clear he has a source close to, or inside GBP. No idea how he'd know about Top Rank numbers.
