Comments Thread For: Alexander: I'm More Dangerous For Khan Than Brook

Former IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander (26-2, 14KOs) sees himself as presented a much tougher challenge for Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs) than his countryman Kell Brook.

Alexander was upset last December by Shawn Porter, who then lost the IBF title to Brook in August. Alexander was originally scheduled to face Khan last year. Khan withdrew to hold out for a possible crack at Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Meh, they are all 50/50 fights anyway you match these 3. They are true middle of the pack guys with awkward styles. Devon is really going to have to be aggressive here and hope for some of that magic he had in the Urango fight to get Khan out of there because it's hard to see him winning a decision against Khan who will be throwing more punches and is faster. But Khan is very vulnerable and hasn't looked all that great since the Judah/Paulie/Maidana fights.

Brook I think is the best of the 3 and would lean towards him beating both of them if I'm honest but then again he had one great performance against Porter so we need to see what he can do on a consistent basis which makes him a wildcard.

Not sure if I want to watch this fight though. Khan-Alexander can either end up being surprisingly entertaining or one of the worst fights of the year. If its boring Khan wins because Devon didn't throw enough and tried to box the faster fighter, if it's entertaining I think it's because Khan got reckless, Devon turned it up and knocked Khan out.

Brook beats both of them so who cares what Alexander has to say.

Both hold the same risk level for Khan

Although Devon has a much more busier style than Brook, as well as being highly experienced, against top competition and a southpaw

On top of that he has a solid chin, if not the best at 147

Khan will have to be sharp, accurate and fight from a distance..

50/50 fight..at this level anyone in the top 10 is a 50/50 for Khan

Also if Devon does beat Khan

Then Devon vs Brook has to happen next, it makes sense, unfinished business

Devon is one of those guys who can pull it out the bag when he wants to. He came unstuck against Porter, but in a rematch i believe he could beat Porter, with the right gameplan. Devon showed a lot of mental toughness in that fight, something he lacked when he fought Tim.

I dont see Devon mentally giving up against Khan.

''I am way better than Brook'' no really, you're not.
Easily among the most overrated 'world level' fighters. Guys a glorified gatekeeper.

Well, the guy didn't take 10 years, 33 fights to fight/win a title and has more than one genuine name on his resume, so he is certainly not how you described him.

Only in Khanland does the amount of fights/time it took to win a world title mean something, ever noticed that? No other fanbase looks so hard for a string to hang from.

Who cares if it takes 3 years or 15 really? Hes a world champion now and that is what matters. More than you can say for those pair of forced, media pushed divas.
