De la hoya doesn't have a right hand and fades late. The de la hoya that fought floyd would have gotten his ass kicked as well.

Oscar doesn't have the style to beat pac. prime for prime Pac beats his ass.

lol Yeah another Oscar strategy that you can't believe would come from a successful HOF fighter and business man who came through on one of the best marketed amateur to pro build-ups ever. How do you come up with stuff like that and think it's a good idea?

When did I say anything about Floyd? He wasnt even on my mind so quit it with the ***** logic. Oscar fought Forbes at 150 the fight before and got hit more in that fight then I maybe ever seen him be hit. Thats what I was telling everyone. That if Forbes did that to him at 150 then what do you think he's going to look like at WW? He was going to look like crap. He just was. Thats why Valero and others were beating his asz in sparring. You act like Oscar had recently fought there or its out of the realm. He was a ghost. Everyone thought he would be way bigger than Pac but it was the opposite

I don't see how anybody that knows boxing could say that Pacquiao is not a very talented boxer. His ability to attack and score often and rarely getting hit in return was on display in his last three fights. He outboxed the good boxer Bradley by a big margin. He won every round with complete ease over champion Algieri and former champion Rios. Oscar was at 147 a week before the fight and that is not the proper way to make a low weight. But even if Oscar had been in perfect shape Manny would still have stopped a past prime Oscar with his incredible speed and skill.

It would have been a more competitive fight though... but lets just say for shiats and giggles that a prime oscar against pacquaio pre marquez 4, oscar would have whooped that ass...imo of course.

Everything is speculative, obviously we would never know but with Pacquiao's speed and power, anyone...I mean anyone would be hard pressed to beat this dynamo most specially when he was that young and strong.

Skills are underrated with Pacquiao because of his über-active style and superlative stamina to go with it.

Oscar wanted more speed in the fight so he came in at 145 in an attempt to accomplish being faster and it failed him. In the same way Jones/Tarver, Chris Byrd against a mediocre fighter, Leonard against Camacho, and many other fighters who tried coming in light and were drained and aged themselves. But Pac did not insist on a particular weight, they both agreed to 147 so the 145 is on Oscar. Every time I hear a past prime fighter go down in weight, it's like I know what comes next. They end up looking worse than ever.

Pacquiao makes you not want to let your hands go. You want to keep them home to protect your life. As soon as you release...bullets, machine gun style. Very discouraging stuff. Oscar looked real bad simply because his hands were frozen in front his face! Not drained. Fear!
