Crawford is not a one punch KO artist, so moving up won't be easy. Danny has a big left, and at 147 it might hurt. Crawford looked OK against Beltran, but no KO, knockdown, or serious damage, and he hit him with his best, flush, several times. Good chin on Beltran, but bigger guys can handle it better.

Good defensive responsibility is more important to fighters moving up. It's tougher for offensive fighters as they're more reliant on the damage they do when they let their hands go. A guy like Crawford will still be able to outbox most of the guys at 140.

Can't wait to see it myself. His tendency to fire back when he's caught makes the prospect of him facing good punchers very interesting.

Being a one punch KO artist has no bearing on it being easy for him moving up...can't go off one fight, Beltran is a tough guy! Crawford stopped Gamboa, who is a far more accomplished fighter ! Crawford might be super at 140 - no more struggling to make weight, stronger camps where he can go harder! Nothing but benefits for a fighter with Crawford's style. Lastly I don't see anyone at 140 walking him down!

Good to read, 135 is a dry well and TC is extremely skilled, he should be constantly looking to challenge himself in order to continue growing at such a rapid pace. With his assets and skills I'm sure he will carve out a good run at 140.

Personally, I think he will fair just fine against the bigger punchers at 140. Although his chin doesn't seem too great his jab, speed and mobility will confuse the big punchers and keep them at bay, especially since Crawford has a decent pop. However, putting him in their against Pacquiao would be a grave mistake at this point and time, he needs to polish off his work first and test waters at 140 before diving in with the big shark. If Gamboa was able to trouble him for the initial rounds of their fight due to his speed and movement, Pacquiao would trouble him for 12. Perhaps later on down the road this will be a huge fight, but for now I'm glad TC is moving on to greener pastures in terms of weightclass.

He gets caught alot, but I think he'll beat most people except Pacman at 140. Who will wash him completely... He'll probably beat Danny Garcia easily as long as he doesnt get caught, and I'd love to see him either Mikey Garcia or Broner...I think he beats Mikey in a tough one and totally shuts out Broner from bell to bell.

There's still Vasquez and Abril. There's also Bey. What's the rush? Unless he wants to fight Salka for his 140 debut.

He just came in 18 pounds over the 135 lbs limit on fight night, that means his body is most likely ready to move on up. I think it's best for him to do so, Abril and Vasquez might garner him more praise from the boxing hipsters but neither fight would trump the Beltran/Gamboa wins. Bey is a joke. Also, 140 is wide open and he seems ready to make the jump, personally i only see it making sense.

You said it. Most of the guys. I bet you can name a couple that give him trouble at 140. I'm not bashing Crawford, I'm just saying how hard it is.
