I think that's clear that Danny is shot when he has to force the action and Crawford himself is a defensively sound, technical fighter with good footwork and strong jab. He can also force the action and exchange if he wants but he is also very good at adjust so against Garcia who is a well known dangerous counter puncher, he wouldn't attack at any price, he would outbox Garcia from the outside and he also wouldn't be embrassed if Garcia would force him into a brawl which is by the way unlikely as I said before, cause Garcia isn't good at forcing the action and cutting off the ring. I don't say that Dany isn't a good fighter but Crawford is also very good and stylewise he is all wrong for Danny, while Danny imo isn't bad for Crawford. If Herrera gave hell to Danny (I had it a draw but still...) Crawford (who I think is a better boxer than Herrera) will outpoint Danny if they will meet.
So why you think that Danny would win?

That's exactly what I'm saying, he doesn't just defend or attack, he does both, gets tagged and keeps coming. Might be in trouble with mobile punchers like Matthysse or Garcia but who cares, he'd give us fun fights.

Anyway, Crawford impressed me with his subtle counters and head movement. He controls distance very well. And an excellent jab to boot. Beltran wasn't much of a challenge but those skills were hard to overlook. It's a pleasure to watch. However, he is not ready for a Manny Pacquiao at 140 or any other weight. I'd like to see him settle at 140 though. A fight against Matthysse would be perfect.
I know there was a lot of Sweet Pea comparisons a couple years back but I don't see it anymore. Maybe back then he was trying to but now he is a boxer/puncher type with a good but not great defence. He is far more aggressive than Pea, hits harder and likes to get rough.

Pea could be a warrior too but he was far more defensively minded.

There are levels to this.....Danny has been in with better opposition. Crawford does not and I repeat DOES NOT want to get into any type of exchange with Garcia whatsoever. They've fought before in the am's and I think they are 1-1.
The poster I replied said that Crawford would run through Danny.....there isn't a fighter today that would run through Danny at 140.

I like watching Crawford. The term "boxer-puncher" describes him well.

Do you guys remember when people were b!tching about how boring Crawford was? And he also came out and said he wouldn't change his style.

Interesting how things change but I do think he has potential to be really really good.

He is so well rounded and reminds me of a lot of fighters.

At times he looks like sweet pea with his counter punching and boxing. Then he reminds me Morales or Sugar Ray Leonard when he gets hit he always wants to throw 3 back. Then he is as skilled in the orthodox stance as he is in southpaw like Hagler. I'm not saying he's an all time great but he reminds me of a lot of the all time great styles.

I remember watching the fight thinking Beltran needs to get off first then he is getting counter punched to death. Then I'm thinking maybe Beltran should counter punch and then I see crawford leading and beating the brakes off Beltran.

Can't wait to see more of Crawford.

I think we need to see Crawford at 140 before we make statements like this. Everyone hates garcia because of the herrera and salka fight but lets remember he still beat Khan and Matthysse.

I want to see Crawford vs Garcia eventually but it's too early to say Crawford would whip Garcia.

              And I like em both

We all know you will find a reason to hate on him like you do every other fighter of his type.

Crawford is a boxer first but he has that dog in him that makes him more than willing than go toe to toe. It reminds me of Meldrick Taylor in that aspect.

yep, I'm a fan of both and that would be a great match up.

As to your previous post, Crawford was boring at times in the past but he always had the power and potential to be stopping guys who weren't on his level, so when he went the distance with someone like Klimov, those of us who saw potential in him were disappointed and we didn't like his post fight attitude.

Even against Burns I wasn't convinced, he fought well and toughed it out but Burns was all but shot, as I stated back then, TC should have stopped him in the later rounds, Burns had nothing left. But against Gamboa, size aside, Crawford showed dog and he showed that again against Beltran.

Keep quiet you paranoid piece of ****.

Fighters have to be of a certain demographic to get your stamp of approval as being ''the future''.

I like TC but I wish he was more aggressive minded cause he has good power, timing and killer instict when he does come forward.
