Vargas is good don't get me wrong but atleast give the kid the chance to step it up against someone like Danny, Maidana or Thurman anyone just I don't see what's the point in rushing him into this fight other than...
Floyd wants to give Vargas as little cash as possible whilst Floyd pockets 95% income.

"I want to fight Manny Pacquiao. I want the opportunity. I spoke with Bob Arum before my fight and we had a serious talk and he explained to me that there was a very high possibility that if I beat Antonio DeMarco, I could get the opportunity," stated undefeated WBA jr. welterweight champion Jessie Vargas, who seems confident that he'll be next in line to face WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao. In fact, according to Vargas, his new trainer, future Hall of Fame Roy Jones Jr., is already working on the game plan to exploit the perceived weaknesses of the 8-division world champion.

"Roy Jones Jr. is already looking up a game plan on how to beat Manny Pacquiao and seeing the weaknesses that Manny Pacquiao has. And he's already explained to me a few of his weaknesses, so we will be ready," Vargas explained during a recent conversation with FightHype's Percy Crawford. "We will have enough time to prepare for him and we will have enough time to perfect our technique and to work on capitalizing on Manny's mistakes. I'm young, man. You gotta understand, I'm young, I'm hungry and I want it. I want it, you know what I'm saying, and Manny Pacquiao doesn't want it as much as I do."

Breaking not so news: Floyd will fight Amir Khan next. Manny will fight Jessie Vargas next. Remember to order both fights, they're the fights that fans want to see. Lol

Khan is at least a decent fight. Vargas is probably as ****ty as it's going to get.

It's decent, but it's just another waste of time and meaningless fight just like the Maidana rematch was. Floyd has nothing to gain from that fight other than the obvious big payday. I agree though, the Vargas fight is ****tier, then again, so was the Algieri fight. Vargas should be Manny's sparring partner. They shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence, let alone be in the same ring competing in a real boxing match against each other.

Floyd has no business fighting Khan. The problem is, the media will let Arum get away with any ****ty opponent he puts in front of Manny and treat it like a big fight, where as, Floyd will be ridiculed for fighting the same level of opponent/s. If those so-called reporters were as vocal in voicing their opinions about the quality of opponents that Manny fights as they do Floyd, then they could've called out Arum a long time ago, but those guys are too scared to get blacklisted. Arum will continues to use Manny for every cents he can get out of him as long as the media turns a blind eye and pretend that Floyd is the only one to be blamed.

floyd generally fights a much higher level of opponent. vargas, algieri and rios are not comparable to maidana and khan.

I'm just saying that the comparison is silly just because the fights are considered "meaningless." If Khan wins impressively this month, he is a viable welter contender. And facing that is better than meaningless. But MORE IMPORTANT, he is world's better than the Algieri's, Rios' and Vargas' of the world. Those aren't meaningless, those are flat out ****.

I actually think Floyd definitely will not fight Khan, but probably Cotto as the rumors suggest.

Styles make fights, and at this point in his career, Khan beats Floyd, Period. Floyd doesn't move much anymore, he is not going to fight a speed demon boxer who plies his trade from the outside. Floyd is 38, that he cannot beat everyone is not surprising.

Styles make fights. This is why JMM has always flat out refused to face Khan. That is why he would never rematch Floyd. It is why Floyd will not fight Khan. Frankly, what does Floyd have to gain? Beating Khan will be extremely tough for Floyd, and he won't get the credit.

If Pac is not facing Floyd its def Vargas. I said it before, why would Arum co promote a fight with GB by allowing Garcia to fight Pac? Never gonna happen. Could be a great fight. The truth is, Floyd is unlikely to be in any fights that will have fireworks. Most likely, whoever he fights, its going to be boring and ugly.

I actually think Floyd is going to face either Cotto or Danny Garcia. I've always kinda assumed it would be Garcia.
