How dare Herrera turn down the opportunity to fight in Russia, the boxing capital of the world, for peanuts and a few AK47s, .

Warriors tried to get the fight for Roberto Garcia but Provodnikov team turned that fight down they wanted Castillo instead. What a shame cuz Garcia - Provodnikov would be an absolute WAR !

Castillo tried to hang in there, stood tough for a couple of rounds but age is unforgiving. He just doesn't have the resources to answer back strongly.

I want to see Bradley and Rios grow a pair, and get in the ring with Provo. Great fights.
were they really offered or just someone saying it cause it seems like provo and ggg like to tell everyone no one will fight them but it seems thats not really the case. Besides your telling me even if those guys did turn him down that there was no one else he could of fought? gmadb

Provodnikov needs more backlash for this.

              What a disgrace.

No one knows Gracia really, meanwhile Castillo is an absolute legend. Provodnikov, in front of his home crowd, got to knock out a shot-to-**** legendary fighter.... far to common these days.

Yeah, boxing fans are always quick to **** on the likes of Mayweather and Pacquiao [sorry for calling out their names], boxers who have actually put in a lot of hard work for over a decade. However, fighters like Provodnikov, someone who is less than a flash in a pan, becomes a fan favourite after a couple of spirited performances.

I always find it funny when the flavour of the month seeks out the easiest pay day, proving that they're not just in it for the fight.

That's true, it's one standard for one and another for others. Especially the NSB favourites compared to the guys NSB aren't too fond of.

Take Garcia for example when he fought Salka, huge backlash, rightfully so. But I think this fight is just as bad if not worse, but compare the backlash, not even close to similar.

Then Matthysse when he fought Mike Dallas Jr, a lot of people actually praised that fight because of the manner of the KO.

List goes on, Mayweather gets slated for fighting reigning World Champions and fighters in the Top 5, obviously the standards for Floyd are on a whole other stratosphere though.

Either way, this fight here is one of the most disgraceful in recent memory.
