He doesn't deserve $80m, especially with Floyd getting $100m.

Pacquiao-Algieri will maybe do 400k PPV buys and the actual gate in Macau isn't all that impressive (since no one has reported even rumored numbers on the gate, or the assumed site fee).

Floyd Mayweather Jr does double the business that Pacquiao does, and he's got a license to promote his own fights, in Vegas and New York.

the media and internet can spin things however they want, the reality still won't change.

Manny Pacquiao doesn't have a fight available to him that would even get him $20m if he doesn't fight Floyd.

Mayweather Jr vs Khan, vs Danny Garcia, and vs Cotto are all $40m fights for Floyd if he doesn't fight Pacquiao. And Floyd isn't hurting for money, either.

I'm confused where Golden Boy falls in to any of these negotiations? I can understand Top Rank because of Pacman, but Golden Boy only promotes Mayweather's fights exclusively as necessary. Just another hand in the cookie jar.

Co promotion, Mayweather promotions is not legit, Mayweather needs someone on his side to do the hard work, rather than be Al Haymon, Ellerbe and Goldenboy, but its clear he needs a promotional company in his corner

Pac's 20 was TAX FREE in China, whle Floyd's 32 got tagged with a 40 percent tax hit, thus bringing his guarantee down to more lke 20 million just like Pac.

Now, this is before any upside (for both Pad and Floyd), and before paying out their people (Haymon, Ellerbe, his dad) and Pac (Top Rank, Koncz, Roach).

There were rumors both fights barely cracked 700k from what I heard... THen there were the 900ishk rumors too. Fact is, Showtme REFUSED to release the numbers.. That tells me they were low.

If you do the math, there's not that much upside Floyd took after his guaranteed purse. Maybe another 5-8 million.


Now, my wee tiny little friend, you see how FLoyd's 32 guaranteed, is actually more like 20 after taxes... JUST LIKE PAC"S 20 TAX FREE!

(Macau not having any tax locally only means that there are no prior tax payments to offset the bill that he owes in his home country). 30% of of $20m knocks Pacquiao down to $14m, and that's before paying Top Rank 30% and paying back whatever advances he took on his purse, costs that Mayweather has no worries about.

If Pacquiao has $5m after everyone takes their share, I'd be shocked.

Mayweather made $32m as his guarantee, probably another $5m off of the PPV upside, another share off of the event gate, another share off of the closed circuit fees, another share off of the merch, etc.

He pays his 37% in federal taxes (no income tax in Nevada), covers his camp expenses, Haymon gets his cut, and Floyd's done, depositing $25m and waiting on the residuals on his events to come in (all costs covered on the front end).

Whatever the number, we can easily guess it's much more than Pacquaio vs. Algieri. Only a fool would guess otherwise. Now maybe if Floyd were fighting the equivalent of Algieri, like Malignaggi (and even HE has much more popularity than Algieri), then the numbers might be similar.
