There are a lot of great fighters, potentially deserving of the honor but I think Crawford takes it. The guy has come from literally nothing and is now being talked about as a potential p4p guy within a year's time. He went to Burns' backyard and beat him up. Some people said that the fight meant nothing because the title really belonged to Beltran. Fine, he fights Beltran and dominates him, but on top of that, he whoops up on Gamboa and hands him his first loss in potentially the FOTY. Crawford is a special talent and I think he has earned the recognition as fighter of the year.

Porter is better than Gamboa, Beltran, and Burns collectively? Because he KO'd Paulie Malignaggi? I don't understand grandiose statements like this.
Porter is better than those wins collectively, I confidently stand by that. My only explanation is that I watch boxing, don't know what else to tell you

You rate Porter pretty highly. Jury is still a little out on him imo, same guy who has a draw with Diaz at the weight.

What?! The flyweight is a division with a lot of talented fighters, one of the best today.

I have GGG coming in a close second behind Crawford.

If Inoue wins and look impressive against Narvaez he deserve to be candidate for sure

I'd like to change my pick to Naoya Inoue.
