Crawford didn't really fight that many good dudes. Guess cause he beat Gamboa which shouldn't of been at that weight and inactivity.

      Who else?
Ruenroeng should be on the vote.

Inoue is a huge factor if he wins next week.

The year isn't over. I don't get pretending it is.

          I agree with you...

But they would have no chance of winning the poll anyway because 95% of our members have never seen them fight.

That's a tough one, I don't rate Crawford's year that highly. Even Brook had a more impressive year, he beat Porter who should rate as a better win than Burns, Gamboa and Beltran collectively. Even Pacquiao was more impressive with his win over Bradley. Kovalev won in an impressive manner, I expected him to because Hopkins is done.

When you think about it, it hasn't been an impressive year. I'd fall in the minority but Brook or Pacquiao for me.

I'm with both of you as well. That's the funny thing about boxing fans. I think we should at least know the top 15 fighters in the sport. NBA & NFL fans have no problem naming 10 or 15 names. I'm BIG on Inoue. No shade at TC, but if he wins its VERY impressive

Cliff, why did the BWAA announce their fighter of the year nominations before the year was over? Doesn't that undermine their credibility? Has TBRB talked about doing their own end-of-the-year awards? Keep it simple, Fighter, Fight, KO of the Year.

Porter is better than Gamboa, Beltran, and Burns collectively? Because he KO'd Paulie Malignaggi? I don't understand grandiose statements like this.

I guess it is as far as the mainstream US boxing/sports media is concerned.

Kovalev should have won the award. We again get to witness American bias and bafoonery, just like the judges..smh
