Right off the bat we can compare Beltran with Rubio except Rubio is probably more dangerous than Beltran I'd say both wins are equal to one another.

Ricky Burns compare him to Osumanu Adama, Adama has never been KOed and has been on a winning run so Adama is clearly a better win.

Geale compared to Gamboa, Geale had been fighting actively and he has been fighting in that weight division for the most part of his career so he is a natural middleweight the same can't be said for Gamboa who after the fight admitted he was too small and since then has went down in weight.

Off of all of that its obvious Gennady Golovkin is ahead of Terence Crawford.
You're thinking too hard. Gamboa is better than Geale, even up a whopping five or so pounds from a division (130) where he fought a lot of his career. Gamboa doesn't lose to guys like Mundine and Barker. He's flawed, but not ordinary. Geale is a good but ordinary fighter.

For me, it's him or Inoue. I didn't think Pac fighting Algieri was anything big before and it turned out that way. Just my take. Algieri is good. For someone on Pac's level, it's just holding serve. Crawford came from the pack at 135 and established himself as best in his class with three big wins. That's the story if he wins this weekend.
No prob with Crawford winning the award. The only thing that bothers me is that he was/is heavily favored in all his fights. Manny was, too, I know...

My choice is Manny, but I'm OK with Crawford, Kovalev or Canelo winning.

Algieri isn't a bad fighter, its just Pacquiao is that good. Algieri would beat or be very close against alot of good fighters including Floyd, Maidana, Rios, Broner, Khan, Garcia, and Crawford if he moves up.

Pac beating him by a historical scorecard just makes it even more impressive

I don't have Gonzalez in my running. One huge win, one good one, and some stay busy. This year needed more from him.

Crawford beat three top ten guys. The wins are there. So is the impact story. He has to win this weekend or it's moot.

But what made TC beat someone as skillful as Gamboa was it his ability or was it his size?
I looked at that fight and Gamboa at times was doing some good work but in the end he just simply couldn't step toe to toe with that guy and perhaps he took the wrong gameplan plus a year of inactivity to fight one of the hottest prospects in the 135lbs division?

It was a good win. For Pac, it was just that. nothing huge. Floyd would beat the **** out of Algieri too. Levels to this.

Ability. Before he took over physically, he was out boxing him. Crawford was very good that night.

Again though...Beltran has a sort of Johnson/Salido late bloomer vibe going. Let's not count hypothetical chickens before they hatch.

for me it's between crawford and pacquiao.

pacquiao - beat two prime undefeated world champions (bradley was also ranked #3 p4p), pac has the single best win of the year

crawford (assuming he beats beltran) - beat 3 top guys at lightweight, he will be ring champ if he beats beltran

If Crawford wins this weekend and looks great, I would vote for him for fighter of the year.

Name's I would add to the poll are

                    Mayweather
                    Canelo
                    Cotto
                    Klitscko
                    GGG.

Lomachenko should be an option, he became a world champ in his Third fight! Outclassing and outspeeding the so called fastest fighter pound for pound.
                      Lomachenko or kovalev
