I'm looking at Terrence Crawford though. Traveled to Scotland to outpoint Ricky Burns. Took Gamboa's 0 in a high-tech war that is a candidate for Fight of the Year. Now he's facing Beltran for the Lineal Lightweight Championship. Another exciting fight with a stoppage could propel him to the top. He doesn't have the marquee win like Kovalev, Pacquiao, or Walters, but he'll have faced 3 top fighters. It all depends on how the fight plays out this Saturday.
We all know If GGG or Canelo beat someone like Ricky Burns, Beltran and then a small fighter like Gamboa (GGG could have done that with E.Lara) they'd be getting discredited so you have no room to say TC belongs as a runner for FOTY if GGG doesn't.

What does Maidana have to do with it? I didn't include Mayweather in this discussion.

Either way, Maidana is more proven at welter than Algieri.

          Kovalev for me.

I think Manny had a nice year. Not great opposition in Algieri, but he was a champion. Bradley was well regarded by many.

            If Crawford wins then ok

If Khan wins then Collazo and Alexander gives him my vote

Imo those are two good wins if he beats Alexander but I think he'd have done himself a lot more favours in winning this award if he fought one more fight in the year against someone else in the top 10 WW rankings.

Pacquiao will probably get it due to popular vote.

Kovalev and Crawford (if he gets past Beltran) are strong candidates. No fighter really wow'd us this year.

collazo and alexander aren't good wins at all.

collazo was past his prime, and i don't believe he was ranked at the top ten at welterweight. and alexander is ranked at the very bottom of the top ten at welterweight. alexander's coming off a mediocre win against soto karass and before that he lost to shawn porter.

GGG or Canelo have never beaten anyone as good as Gamboa regardless of size, you sir are a fan boy. A BTW Lara has repeatedly called out GGG to no reply

                      Lara is a light middleweight...
                      Gamboa is a superfeathweight...

GGG knew fine well he'd get no respect beating a blown up middleweight so why should Crawford get any respect for beating a blown up lightweight?
Besides you're trying to say to me Gamboa is better than Lara?
                      Hahahahahahaha!
                      Absolute idiot.

Not only is Lara a better fighter than Gamboa he has also beat way better opponent to that of Gamboa.
