This is a reply to UK Dirk.

Ramirez will punish then spark him just like he did Zuniga, a durable litmus test who hadn't been stopped since 2009. Something DeGale was unable to do. DeGale will be running and looking to counter, but Ramirez will eventually cut-off the ring and punish him. Ramirez is too strong for DeGale. Sorry to break your heart.

So you're answer is Zuniga then?

        Stellar

LOL. Zuniga came for a pay day.

Ramirez is basic and will play in Degale's hands. Sorry, to break your heart.

If he fights like he has lately that would be a great, great fight.

I'm unsure DeGale for the skills, speed and experience, Ramirez is more basic but has the size & power I think it would be a close distance fight either way.
He had a groin injury for 5 of his fights, which affected his mobility, so journeymen had easier time pushing him to ropes. Gonzalez was when he finally recovered.

Really? Sounds great to me. They will steal the show if they make this fight happen.

Started this thread a year ago....Degale to outsmart him but Ramirez will never take a step back and keep on trying to walk Degale down and outwork him. Degale seems to have some stamina issues and this could be a very dangerous fight for Degale. Would love to see this match-up.

                  Ramirez is easy to hit.

There's a reason Top Rank said he wasn't ready for DeGale.

DeGale by decision at this stage.

I'd rather see Ramirez fight Lucian Bute if he can beat Bute then he gets a shot. I think that is an excellent fight especially if the Bute from last night turns up I see that Bute beating most SMWs. I think he'd knock Groves out, probably Jack too.

I don't think Ramirez is quite at that level or ready. I'd rather see him vs Groves or Bute.
