LMAO wow is all i could say, Loma controlled the fight made Russell miss alot of punches. All Russell was doing is making ****** noises while he punched and missed even the rounds Loma took off, he won because he still out landed him. Idc if Russell was moving forward and Loma was taking a break he still MISSED.
Re watched Lomo Vs Russell Jr... Not Impressive

Loma is a solid fighter. But I don't think he will make it huge as a pro. I see a lot hype around his amateur record but success as a pro is different. I get that he is learning as he goes but I just don't see him being our next generation great from what I've seen of him so far. He clearly beat Russell though.Last edited by Punch on Tap; 11-26-2014, 10:10 PM.Comment

What? I can't allow myself to take this bait but **** it I'll nibble. Russel literally landed no effective punches. He had to fight at Loma's pace, at Loma's range and Loma was the only one to land significant shots the entire bout. All those TBA's just for Garry to take an L in his first title bout. SHAME.Comment

It was like a sped up version of Kotelnik vs Alexander. One fighter landing no meaningful punch but makes grunt noises, while the foreign fighter comprehensively schools the home town boy on offense and defense, in virtually every round. They tried to rob the superior foreign talent again, but not this time.Comment

As someone who has fought. You are blind. There Russel through quick combinations at Loma's gloves all night, he never stepped in with an intent to land, he was just trying to be busy.Like I said, I believe it wwent either way! Have you even been in the ring before, put on gloves, actually competed. I have and ranked up on hell of a record ad an amateur before I torn my acl in my second to last fight and then detached a retina. I grew up boxing, and trained for most of my young life. It cracks me up when you think you know boxing and never done sh** in it. My trainer who came from the old times, said you can run as much as you want but if you aren't performing as much as your opponent, you deserve to lose.
I saw Lomo running to frequently... nothing more that I enjoy than a master boxer like Rigondeaux who attacks as well as move but in my eyes I didn't see that from Lomo. He would run for a round or two and only doing anything the last minute or 30 seconds. Rarely countering when a opening occurred; which was often but choose to try to steal the end of rounds. Russell although not perfect or great performed by constant attack and rarely back peddling even after hard punchs.
Maybe that detatched retina has ruined your vision.Comment

"I personally found more rounds for Russell who out hustled Lomo with great double, triple jabs. He dictated the pace for much of the fight, while when Lomo picked up the pace one round, he hit the bicycle and allowed Russell to come back. I'm I the only one who saw it for Russell?!"
THIS IS WHY FOREIGN FIGHTERS SHOULD/ARE RELUCTANT TO FIGHT IN THE STATES. The fight was the complete polar opposite of what was just described LMAOComment

I see it different. I see him getting more comfortable every fight. He is going to be a dominant champion, sooner rather than later. He is like a new Rigo, just more offensive than him. I am different, I enjoy Rigo's fights a bit, but crave more action. Loma is the Rigo with more action. His offense is incredible to watch. The angles and precision are off the charts good.Comment
