well you think floyd is great and all floyd did was run and clinch against maidana. algeiri just forgot the clinching part which was his downfall. maybe next fight he will smarten up and come out of his cage.

Algieri really isn't as bad as the performance he put on last night. He is a really great boxer but he knew right off that Pac's power was too much and couldn't mount any sort of offense that he is used to doing. He was in full running mode. I knew before this fight that he was like an optical allusion and was very thin and probably not durable but he seemed to be able to recover decently after the knockdowns. Like many opponents who face Pac, they find that they can't land anything meaningful without getting hit by a hard left hand or right hook. Algieri does have a future in boxing if he can find a new d@mn trainer and team. He really showed professionalism last night by getting up and seeming to not be fazed or in panic. Obviously this green horn bit off more then he could chew last night with Pac, but with the right trainer I see him as a good boxer with a bright future. Haha but you guys gotta remember when someone in his corner said "Yea pump the jab! Fundamentals babyy!"

Funny when you think about the run of trainers Pac has came up against in recent years.

Joel Diaz, Robert Garcia, Nacho Beristain, ****m Richardson...........

        and then this guy...

Yeah he is, but he'd still beat Algieri in a rematch I feel. As you say, he's pretty one dimensional but he does have some raw talent. Would have given Manny a better fight than wanna-be Channing Tatum that's for sure.

Pretty much. He found a way to lose in what should have been a no lose situation for him. Got embarrassed and dominated to prove he wasn't on that level or even close to it, corner was embarassing, and his Master Boxer skills were nothing for Manny.

Provodnikov is not overrated, he stopped Alvarado and we all know how competitive he was with Bradley. He is in the same class as Maidana, a power one dimensional slugger that cannot outbox you but can ko you in any given round. Algeiri was just overwhelmed with speed

3-Corner says they planned for the ko but you only have 8 ko's

This was an epic fail and embarrassing...I spend 70 bucks to see this stiff uncoordinated guy flop around the damn ring
its pretty bad but not as bad as when floyd mayweather sr trained ricky hatton.

not only did sr. get outwitted by roach in the boxing ring but off of it as well with that lampley roach conversation/argument.

coming late to practice sessions, not being able to order properly at a drive thru, working the pads orthodox style when your opponent is a southpaw, the way hatton got KTFO....

sr. training hatton fail > lane algeria fail

Arum robbed all of yall with this. He could put Manny against any D/C class fighter on PPV and people would still buy it like idiots. Arum always cries to boycott Floyd fights but Arums cards for PPV stink like shlt and should be boycotted themselves. He's laughing all the way to the bank.
