But this fight was not just tough or a close call, this was a fight in which Garcia clearly didn't win. It's really hard to say he "deserves" a shot at Pacquaio or Floyd and at the same time, say he didn't really beat a previous opponent in Herrera. Stuff like that just opens up questions for a boxer and someone like Garcia doesn't need that.

I would have liked Garcia to fight against someone to truly redeem himself before fighting Pacquiao or Mayweather but things are just way too out of order in boxing for that to happen nowadays.
So he lost. Name a contender from 140-147 more deserving.

"Good fight for the fans?" Watching Pacquiao devour flat footed Danny Garcia. That's good?

Once his speed starts to wear off in a few years he'll be 30 and pretty much won't have nothing left for the welterweight division.
        didn't it already wear off?

I'm pretty much just used to the fact that THE fight may never happen. Garcia is the most deserving from 140-147 not named Mayweather. He should have lost to Herrera, bit at least he knocked out Khan and beat Matthysse. It would be a good fight. Garcia is marketable with good power.

As of right now, I can't say anybody at 140 "deserves" a shot, especially Garcia. There's no way he goes from getting a gift decision over Herrera, to beating ranked #77 lightweight Salka to getting a shot at Pacquiao or Mayweather. That doesn't fly with me.

Now still, I have no issue with this fight happening because it would still be interesting to see but I want to see Garcia go in there as a champion and not just as a lucky guy holding a belt.

147 is a bit tricky but if we're not talking promotions and networks, I'd say Bradley. He fought Pacquiao and Marquez already, why not fight Mayweather? He might as well keep moving forward now.

Bradley has already had two shots and you're saying he deserves a third over Garcia? Come on.

                      Pacquiao obliterates left hooks.

                      Easy win.
