U are overrating Danny's power, manny's been in with way heavier puncher, that's almost in insult lol to act like Danny will blow manny out lmao! Closing ur eyes and swinging for the fences ain't gonna work against the big boys lol
I'm not overrating Danny at all. I favor Pac to win cause I think he's overall the better fighter but Danny is still a live underdog. It's not an insult to point out that Danny has a good chance to score a KO and I wouldn't be shocked if Danny knocks him out. You think his closing his eyes and swinging for the fences like he's some sort of bum. In reality Danny knows exactly what he's doing and is a very sharp counter puncher with great timing. What makes him even more dangerous is the fact that he's one of the best out there to throw with his opponent catching you off guard when you attack. Pac is an aggressive minded fighter so I'm sure Danny likes his chances in this match-up.

I really don't think Garcia has enough power to knock Pacquiao out. Hurt, yes, but knock him out? No way! Pac's speed and ability to punch from different angles will likely overpower Garcia's hook. Sure, Garcia has a good chin but that doesn't mean he can't feel punches and I'm sure his reaction won't be good once he starts feeling Pac's power.

I got no problems with this fight happening but I also wonder how well Garcia does against Chris Algieri. I'd like to see that too.

I don't personally have an issue with this fight but it's hard to overlook the Herrera fight, knowing that Garcia wouldn't even be in the question today had it not been for the bad scoring for that fight.

If Garcia has any kind of confidence in himself, he'd rematch Herrera and beat him to erase all doubts against him. Only then would I say he truly deserves a shot at Floyd or Manny.

I wonder if Danny Garcia would be willing to go to China to fight Pacquiao. Either way there would be a big payday in it for him. He may as well take it because I doubt there are many big paydays left in his career. He's not a fighter that will stick around much longer anyway. Once his speed starts to wear off in a few years he'll be 30 and pretty much won't have nothing left for the welterweight division.

Roach just wants the easy fights - junior welterweights for Pacquiao. Be more bold - Khan, thurman, Brook are there.

reality is garcia(not herrera) is the one holding the lineal title. after pac fought garcia pac would probably go after vargas (if he still has a title).
at the end of the year pacquiao would be holding all titles at 140. first time pac consolidating titles.
this is better legacy wise than fighting thurman, matthysse, khan or brooke.

off course the mayweather fight is the best fight that could be made out there.
pac could be mayweathers last fight.

A lot of fighters have tough fights, close calls, etc. Just look at the pound for pound list -- most of them have. De La Hoya had Molina coming up and Whitaker too. The bottom line is that he is more deserving than anyone at 140-147 other than Pacquiao.

That's a totally separate case. There's no harm in Pacquaio going for a title win and grow his legacy even more but I'm also looking at the guy with the title too.

But this fight was not just tough or a close call, this was a fight in which Garcia clearly didn't win. It's really hard to say he "deserves" a shot at Pacquaio or Floyd and at the same time, say he didn't really beat a previous opponent in Herrera. Stuff like that just opens up questions for a boxer and someone like Garcia doesn't need that.

I would have liked Garcia to fight against someone to truly redeem himself before fighting Pacquiao or Mayweather but things are just way too out of order in boxing for that to happen nowadays.
