Any serious fight fan never saw this "great white hope" thing in Algieri. What they saw was an opponent Pacquiao was going to beat up who just happened to be a white guy.

Algieri deserves this pay day and needs to give Provo a rematch.
It only takes 1 more win at 147 or 140 against a prime opponent to get back in the mix. He did beat Provo. So he's successful against good powered square fighting boxers. I could even see Algieri stealing rounds from Bradley. Fundamentally he has the tools

99% of the people who thought Algieri's style would give Manny problems were Pac fans. And that's because they were trying to sell this fight as competitive. The rest of us could see what this was: A truly ****ty matchup. Just embarrassing at this level. I'm glad Manny wants Mayweather next but his fans are going to be in for a rude awakening should that fight come off.
