Freddie is so funny. When Cotto beat Martinez, he said thiis current version of Cotto would destroy Floyd, and he was calling out Floyd for Cotto, saying Floyd would run from Cotto. Now that Floyd is rumored to be talking to Cotto, suddenly Canelo is the better fight. Freddie is afraid that Floyd vs. Miguel 2, live from the Braclay's, on Cinco de Mayo 2015, would be THE fight, and Manny, once again, would be irrelevant.

The Canelo fight is absolutely meaningless, but a Mayweather fight for the MW belt vs his undefeated record has all the meaning in the world and much more money.

It's not about "ducks," it's about options. Manny has NONE. As long as Manny is with TR (Arum), he can't fight Mayweather, Danny Garcia, Khan, Thurman, Broner, basically no one relevant in the sport. His only hope is Crawford, Mikey Garcia, or possibly Brook.

Roach is a scumbag, but I would approve of roach doing this, in the middle of training cotto for mayweather, lie about cotto getting injured and then roach puts in a legit replacement, Manny pacquiao can take Cotto's place and we get the fight we have always wanted. Mayweather by UD over pacquiao.

Looking forward to Mayweather vs Freddie Roach 2 as a subplot to all the madness.

Roach's 1st shot at Floyd with Delahoya I don't hold against him because of the past prime state of the Goldenboy by his own admission.

With Pacquiao and Cotto he has a better tools to work with in implementing strategy and executing gameplan.

Why wouldn't he ask for 60/40 from Floyd when he knows he can get the Lionshare of the purse if he fights Canelo?.. P.R.'s Biggest superstar against Mexico's Biggest superstar on Cinco De Mayo would easily do over a million buys. I'm not even sure he'd do bigger numbers fighting Floyd on that day.
