How is it a waste of a career???? Kirkland is not old, with his style he probably would not still be in the game at this point, and look at the landscape of the 154 pd division - Andrade - Charlo twins - Julian Williams - Canelo - Cotto - trout - Lara - K 9 Bundrage - Vanes Martiroysian - Willie Nelson - and more - now we can see some good fights...Kirkland with his style is NEVER on the outside looking in. His antics may actually help his career out - we shall see...

Kirkland is on the outside looking in. Has he fought this year? No. Does he have a fight scheduled? No. Does he have strong promotional backing? No. If that's not "on the outside looking in", I don't know what is.
