Possible, but Manny has still not once made a fight happen that was anything but to his advantage.

When was the last time Manny did anything to make a fight happen that was the least bit onerous on him? Moving up in weight for Oscar? Other than that it has been Manny's (or Arum's) way or the highway.


That is not a take on all comers attitude at all, not that there is anything wrong with him wanting his but a spade is a spade.

I disagree man he's called out the top guy in the division mayweather and even wanted another fight with Marquez who clearly has his number who else is there Keith Thurman but as good as he is is he a contender? It doesn't matter what he says, dude. Arum dictates who he fights. Pac "calling out" guys is useless because ultimately, his "promotah's" decision is all that counts. Btw, it's hilarious how he can claim Floyd is ducking him, WHILE Arum is positioning him to fight at 140lbs.

Mosley brought Floyd good money and they went for the named fighter. That's all. I for one wasn't thrilled that they were doing that but that doesn't change the fact that Berto had a weak resume. Perhaps you forgot this point but this was being repeated back then over and over again. I even remember commenting on that it wasn't his fault about the earthquake as he was supposed to finally start fighting better quality opponents but got stalled.

That is why I say, it's all smoke and mirrors. Even here you bring up Ortiz, Guerrero but if you look at Berto's resume then see that he has no defense, well, it's clear. Even others have exploited this deficiency of Berto's.

Ortiz? He was hyped for beating Berto but people forget that he got knocked down twice in that fight and had nothing else to show for at WW. Even today, besides that, Ortiz still has no wins at WW.

Arum line is because Arum knew that Mosley fight would not happen because Mosley was with GB .... Mosley had to leave.

Rios, Algeri and Vargas has weaker resumes than Berto and that ain't stopping Manny from fighting them.
