When was the last time a fighter threw combinations at Wlad?

You can say well they are worried if they open up they will get knocked out but if they don't and they try boxing with him they are going to get picked apart & knocked out anyway.

Everybody that goes in the ring with him don't even put a damn right hand behind the jab let alone combinations. How many right hands did Pulev throw? one?
He put one, three punch combination together in the fourth round, what happened? He got through partially with the right hand and landed the left hook behind it jarring Wlads head back.

The last fighter I recall that wasn't afraid to let their hands go and threw combinations was Sanders. When Wlad threw, he threw. When Wlad stopped he threw back.

I am a fan of Wladimir but I won't sit and pretend these fighters are doing anything for his legacy. Most/nearly all of Wladimirs recent opponents have done nothing at all but increase his number of title defenses.
He needs to target Stiverne he is the only fighter I see at HW except Wlad and Povetkin with genuine skill. Takam is alright too as it goes - solid but not a great HW by any stretch but a good, honest fighter.

After Pulev hurt him with a jab in the 1st round,Wlad was wide open for a right hand...but i think Pulev was shock that he hurt him with a jab

I don't remember Chambers throwing anything or doing anything but standing with a high guard, flicking out the occasional jab to the body & utilising a ton of wasted movement.

You maybe right I just remember it being a hugely dull affair with extra little going on from both guys.

I must say I am a bit worried when I watch Wlad as he does seem vulnerable to what you are saying...I think his weakness are relentless rush-in fighters who have good chins, are physically strong, and have good inside fighting with power and speed. Someone like Povetkin doesn't really fit the bill because I don't think he has the physical strength or viciousness on the inside to really cause that kind of trouble for Wlad.

Unfortunately in general only really great fighters usually have this type of skillset so fortunately for Wlad there aren't any around right now which could potentially seriously trouble him. At the same time...he's evolved his clinching and overall defence to a level that will probably allow him to control any opponent, unless a referee would step in.

Against Wlad it's easy to speculate on how to beat him in his current form but it's another thing executing a gameplan and no-one seems to be able to make one work thus far. I suspect only a truly great fighter could do it, which is why current Wlad has become an ATG.

ive heard quite a few of his past opponents stating its hard to get combos off against wlad due to his movement,,height and jab

I dont think wlad was hurt with anything. he was knocked off balance but didnt seem wobbled or glassy eyed. I must say tho,,,he did appear much more open for punches than he usually is. it could be father time knocking. I think he also relaized it and loaded up with power shots a little more than usual. he wanted pulev out of there

1st round jab from Pulev was good, but this was no combination. The best combinations from Pulev were in 4th round (probably the best round for Pulev), and one 1-2 combo in 5th round, but seconds after that Klitschko shots a bad left hook and the fight ends...

no doubt that fight was boring but chamber threw more than 2 punches at a time at wlad....it wasnt consistent though from what i remember.

peter definitely threw combos and got himself into the fight but **** his lack of skills and **** conditioning.

Its tough throwing combos when Vlad is at such a distance, punches so hard and ties up anytime you get close
