Well I've got some though so most seem to agree Spinks is the best win who wasn't really a natural heavyweight, more of a light heavyweight (he wasn't that big) whilst he was a talented boxer he stepped into an era which was going to be full of big men.

I mean Tyson did outweigh this guy and Spinks is considerably taller than him.

I stick by Larry Holmes at 38yo, Its an iconic name on the list and an actual natural heavyweight.
You should take joy in the fact that it's actually quite rich coming from him.

Many people are just blinded by his power and forget what he had done in reality to warrant such praise.

I agree about Holmes as that is the most notable name that stands out............................in the win column of course.

      EDIT:

      Scrap my whole post before..

Well don't scrap it, it's relevant but I actually forgot all about Holmes.

Larry Holmes could possibly be Tyson's best win prime.

That Larry Holmes only had a year off and was not really old at all for a HW of his style. That's nothing!

He came back many years after to beat a tough opponent in Ray Mercer!

To say that Holmes was shot when Tyson beat him is nonsense.

A case could easily be made for Holmes, Tyson's best prime win.

His best wins in the 90's imo were Botha and Golota. (Being stoned while he beat Golota only INCREASES the value haha)

Tyson's overrated, and his competition does play a large role in why I believe that. He did beat some good fighters, but not enough and not in a way for people to think he's the best HW ever or can beat anyone or crap like that.

Because Spinks was ****ting his pants before the bell even rang. He's admitted as much, he was scared of Tyson.

So, knocking your opponents out and sending them flying around the ring, in more devastating fashion than any boxer in history isn't a good enough way to win?

I rank Mike Tyson's overall competition 5th, after Wladimir Klitschko, LEnnox Lewis, Vitali Klitschko, Evander Holyfield.

            It was great!

You cannot penalise Tyson for knocking out bums at the start of his career because ALL boxers fight bums at the start. Ok so 20 was a fair few but hey, he stepped up!

I would be scared of Tyson too if I knew there was no way I could win and the chance of me getting knocked out savagely was 100%

he was the best hw of the 80s. but obviously people now only know him as the freakshow of the 90s. still a top 3 HW IMO if he didnt do drugs and wasnt mentally unstable but thats not saying much when theres a huge drop off from lennox lewis

Tyson is one of the greatest myths in boxing, he is good fighter but he lost to pretty much every other great he fought.
