Your first comment is what I said originally, then said it again in a few different ways to get my point across. If you don't rate a fighter by the level he's fighting at, then you don't have any levels - thus every fighter is on the same platform.

Ergo, you'd rate the likes of Carl Baker and Wladimir Klitschko in one spectrum. So the likes of Carl Baker would never be considered good (don't think you can find a word bad enough for him if Klitschko is on the other end of the scale ) regardless of his opponent.

But I think that's a little unfair to lump all 1059 active heavyweight professional boxers on one rating system.

Do you think Ryder is good enough to become a contender? That's what I think. I think he'll be as good as BJS in terms of a label like 'contender' but BJS has more chance of becoming a champion (if the opportunity arises and the road is not too rocky).
I never disputed what you were saying.

All I disputed was that his opposition is good. On the grand scale, it's not.

For his level yeah it's not bad. Never said it was. Like I said all I disputed was the notion that his opposition is good.

John Ryder I can't see being a Champion. Unless he gets a very easy title shot.

Agree with everything Demise is saying.

You can't judge all fighters on the same level. Billy Joe's career has clearly been on an upward trajectory. He has gone British, Commonwealth, European and his opponents have generally improved incrementally.

The fight on Saturday is pretty much a leap of faith from Eubank's handlers. The same can not be said for BJS because as his career has shown clear progression.

We know for a fact BJS is a good European level fighter at least.

I am not sure BJS is much above that level tbh. So even relative to his own ability I think he is fighting good opposition.

I would agree that Eubank winning would be better as he seems to have more potential. I've never really been sold on saunders tbh. He just seems a bit messy at times and his style doesn't help his low punching power.

Looking at this feud more and I have no idea why Saunders hates Eubank Jr so much. It's almost like Bellew with Cleverly. He just wants to hate him but has no real reason to do so.

Saunders is funny on occasion but sometimes he unnecessarily goes over the top. He seems to be fair too emotionally invested and has put far too much pressure on himself.

I actually fully support the way the Eubanks have conducted themselves throughout this whole situation and I think Jr might just do the business in style on Saturday.

Eubank jr is a pretty cool character. He's made me a fan by the way him and his dad has stuck it to Frank Warren and getting him all up in the red spot. The Warren-Burns breakup and the lawsuit filed was disgusting in my opinion. Warren came across as Don King. I literally lost every little bit of respect I had left for Warren, because of that.

I suspect BJS 'hatred' or dislike for Jr stems from him getting a lot of publicity and interest based off his father's name - especially as he hasn't fought anyone.

Well if I was going for a bet I'd say Eubank will win a tough fight but I have a bit of a hunch this could be his coming out party and he may do a number on BJS.

                      Yeah.

I'm only for black fighters. Like Kessler, Froch, Tyson & Hughie Fury, David Price, Bellew, DSG, Pacquiao and other fighters I really like.

Could it be that I just like a fighter because of their skills/personality as opposed to see them as a colour?

Seems improbable on this forum these days.
