What exactly is that even supposed to mean? He is over the hill now?

What exactly gave you the idea he is a fringe level European contender? Plus how can you be such, when you already own the European title?

BJS's last "3" opponents were unbeaten prospects (4 in total), not journeymen who themselves padded their record against no hopers worse than them, but guys who are investments. This will be his 4th straight fight against an unbeaten prospect, yet somehow he is the fringe contender.

Now have a peek at the guys Eubank Jr has beaten and then we'll have a clearer picture as to who is the fringe contender.

Be honest when you answer that if Eubank Jr didn't have that surname, yet fought similar opposition would he have been regarded this highly?

That basically ends it right there. How can you praise someone and talk about BJS being a fringe European contender, yet Eubank himself hasn't done jack ?

I feel if Eubank won, he would offer the public more in terms of interest. Even though it's just a myth.

What do you think and who are you hoping for?
Yeah, he has a useful surname, but beyond that he has done nothing, but built a padded record against bums and people are only mesmerized by whom his father is than face the question what he has done to this point. Shouldn't he have been at least an English champion by now?

I see what you're saying but I think you might just be underrating Saunders potential a little bit, Eubank is no massive puncher himself but as you said he has a very entertaining persona/personality.

Eubank Jr will obviously get the more attention if he wins this because people will then start to believe the hype with all the act he has put on similar to his father whereas Saunders is already tried and tested he is just merely waiting an opportunity at a title shot and he is definitely ready for that.

Out of the two I say Saunders wins, If you look at past fights with Eubank he struggled with powder puff punchers and he was getting hit nice and clean by those guys.
My prediction Saunders win via TKO stoppage first half of the fight and I think that comes down to nothing to do with the more experience Saunders has I just think he is better... Could be wrong though.

The real question is whom has he even fought? Just riding off of a surname and that's it.

Look at both of their last 3 opponents and you'll see what I mean.

Billy joe is 100 percent going to win. Chris eubank junior has literally fought fighters that have not only not improved but regressed him. Moving around the ring with hands down low mocking his opponents. You think he would do that against golovkin??? He recently fought a guy and ncoked him out, and guess what, his fight befoe was a guy, that knocked out chris next opponent. So his competition is getting worse.

Billy joe defence is to good, very good. Its a easy points decision for me...if eubank jnr wins, ill give him props, but i just cant see it...

How the hell do you get "approacing his peak" to equal "over the hill"?

I said fringe world /european level - contender. As in he'll be European as he is now, or fringe world level. Not hard to understand is it?

I clearly also stated in the OP that Eubank hasn't fought anyone. Can't you read?

Clearly you didn't understand the question I was asking, which I very clearly put in the thread name, therefore read it again and respond when you've understood it.

I think BJS is a good fighter , I just don't think he's anything special. He doesn't punch very hard, and his tank is not the best. He's got some good speed on him and some decent skills, but I don't think he's ever going to be a world beater.

ready for a title shot? Hmm, I don't think so. Could you imagine him facing GGG? He'd get murdered!

I actually think Eubank has some skills, I mean, he's got good punch variety, good snap, he's quick, good headmovement + he's a natural showman like his dad. I like it, even though it's been against bad opposition - to say the least.

As I acknowledged in the OP I think BJS should be the favourite, he's definitely been in with better competition - but if Eubank gets his game together - I think he has more potential as a box office attraction if you know what I mean?

Of course, he's been fighting lower level journeymen and did what he's supposed to, but if he carries it up to a higher level, I think he could be a decent fighter.

I don't see Eubank getting stopped in the first half of the fight, I could be wrong, but I don't see it happening.

I don't very like either of them yet, so nobody. They are the type of fighters who didn't achieve nothing worthy yet but already have a mouth like they were undisputed champion.
I think Eubank Jr. has a more entertaining style so if I have to say ne of them I say Eubank.

I'd love to see a Eubank Jr win.

I don't see it happening as I think his footwork will be a problem (he plants his feet for every punch) and I think he's a bit too predictable, you know he's always looking for the uppercut.

Saying that, I've never been impressed by Saunders so it's winnable.

Definitely, his father has done a good part on working towards that.
I'm not sure on Eubank Jr himself though, could he sell it without his witty father beside him hyping it all up... VERY, VERY similar to Danny Garcias dad but there is no comparison to class, Eubank Sr poops all over Danny's dad when it comes to the banter.

Well this will be his coming out fight If he pulls it off, I might look at the odds to this and make a bet but I'm not entirely sold on him yet.

As for Saunders with GGG, nobody from 160 to 168 is ready for that not even Ward because he has been so inactive.
I think Saunders could stand his own against the other titlist holders...
Korobov Vs ??? winner for the WBO belt...
Cotto Vs ??? winner for the WBC belt...

He has a chance against most of those guys in 160 beside GGG, Golovkin sparks anyone out he faces pretty much.

BJS has got one speed; Eubank goes through the gears. Body attacks and the switch stance uppercuts will probably see Saunders off.
