Prime Tyson was probably the fastest heavyweight of all time(I think faster than Ali), he would be able to land quick, powerful punches before Vlad ties him up. Knowing Vlad's chin is not the best, I think Tyson would get a knockout before the 6th round.

Just a bad matchup for wladimir, tyson catches him cold early and stops him.

After Ali and Haye man you have a hard on for Bruno more than any other boxer.

Bruno was 6'3" anyway. Yeah he was pretty built, sure but he was an unco punch bag with a glass jaw and no gas tank.

He bares absolutely ZERO resemblance to Wladimir Klitschko whatsoever except for the fact he was not a midget and he had muscles!

I rate Tyson's chances vs Klitschko pretty generously, more generous than the average objective poster.

But smashing up Bruno did nothing to improve his standing vs Klitschko.

Vlad would make the jinx feel better. He would get folded in less than a round.

But I give Mike such high punchers chance that really I would never bet on the outcome of such a match.

There are 2 ways of looking at this.

Tyson was possibly the fastest guy ever at getting past the jab. He also was probably the fastest and most accurate puncher once he closed the gap too, and hit with enough vicious power to drop basically any HW eventually.

Extraordinarily defensive too, no shorter, bull type fighter with such great offense ever had such great defence.

You could say Wladimir Klitschko never fought an opponent like Tyson. Povetkin probably closest.

You could also say that Tyson never faced an opponent quite like Wladimir, except LEnnox, who destroyed him.

Wladimir unfortunately for Tyson, unlike anybody at all Tyson faced, has completely mastered the art of keeping his opponents at the correct distance, and possesses the greatest outside boxing skills of any HW of all time with absolutely crushing power to back it up.

I think Tyson will be able to find a way to penetrate the awesome Wlad defence but then have to face the python like clinches. I forsee this being a big problem for Tyson and that's why I pick WK to win.

But a Tyson victory isn't out of the question. LEt's say Wlad 7 out of 10 times.
              Povetkin similar to Tyson aye?

I did not claim Povetkin was the same as Tyson.

I claimed exactly that Wladimir never fought an opponent quite like Tyson.

But if I had to scan his list and pick an opponent as near as I could, I think Povetkin maybe closest.

Your comparing 6'6" 250lb Wladimir Klitschko, almost invincible now,

                  To

Just over 210lb 6'1" ostritch, Michael Spinks who had all the durability of paper machete and the power of a leaf blower.

                  Thoroughly well thought out assessment.

Wlad would be doing calisthenics all over Mike's back. TKO via muscle up.

This would be the difference in the fight imo. Those big long arms would have Tyson biting ******* and trying to headbutt Wlad's sternum. If Wlad threw or pushed Tyson like he did to Povetkin or Pulev he would go schizo and get DQ'd.

If Bruno had Tyson hurt, I can see Wlad hurting him with more than one of those right hands. In saying that, some people say Tyson was past prime when he fought Bruno the first time.
