So, Wlad destroys Pulev and this what his detractors come up with?? What Foreman said was that he thought that Haye was fast enough to beat Wlad but he blew his opportunity. What Foreman also forgot to mention was that Haye didn't have the heart to even try to beat Wlad.A lot of people won't agree but I believe David Haye can beat Wlad.
Had Haye winning the first half of their fight before sht went bad.
Even Wladimir himself knows it.
I've never seen Wlad so tentative and unwilling to engage like he did against Haye.
George Foreman spoke on it after the fight.
With a little adjustment in strategy (mainly in the 2nd half of the fight lol) Haye dethrones Klitschko.Last edited by Ravens Fan; 11-16-2014, 03:45 PM.Comment

I'm addressing the thread..not the destruction of Pulev. So, Wlad destroys Pulev and this what his detractors come up with?? My point is Wlad isn't as unbeatable as we like to claim.
He can be beat.
And to his defense, Pulev may have been cheated..OSDT.Comment

whatever...theres no one in the heavywieghts today that can beat him anyway so why does it matter, hes the best right now.
All you haters that always judged him for fighting like a coward and having a glass jaw where proved wrong yesterday when he had to to fight against pulev and won after taking shots also....it was a rough fightComment

Manny also made Lennox Lewis. And saying both brothers would lose to arguably a top 3 Atg heavyweight doesn't invalidate them.Comment

In a boxer the style of WK, who doesn't accumulate much damage from his fights and continually trains, he will only get better with age until a certain point. Maybe another 5 years at peak performance if he wanted!
Speed peaks around 20's, reflexes around 30's.
Other than that though, all other things like strength and power and stamina are qualities that plateau around 40 yrs of age.
Thing is is that experienced boxers like Wladimir learn not to rely on their athleticism so much as younger boxers do but in the end it comes down to experience. Boxing is an experience sport foremost.
That's why Foreman could take it to a younger, fitter Shannon Briggs.
That's why Larry Holmes could beat a younger, fitter Ray Mercer.
That's why Muhammad Ali could beat bigger+better opponents in the 70's than he could in the 60's.
And it's why Wladimir now can toast any HW in the world.
Not to mention he is still extremely athletic as well.
At some point the decline in athleticism will start to takeover the benefit of experience.
I think Wladimir has enough in his tank left to take on several of the key top contenders now today and beat them all up to retire with probably the best resume of all time.Comment
