I've nothing against Klitschko, I've said he is a good champion, I'm just stating the obvious, Wlad would not have been successful in the 90's. it was a much better era back then.

I think people are giving Wladimir credit alright, but his opposition has been fairly poor. Pulev was Wladimir biggest test since David Haye, and that was 3 and a half years ago. (I find it hard to think of the Povetkin fight as a test, the referee let Wladimir hold and clinch throughout the entire fight.)

Mormeck, Pianeta and the Leapai's were Wladimir competition in those 3.5 years. Not Wladimir's fault, but that was the competition.
