Give me the list because you obviously dont know what ducking is and im hardly sure you know what a cherry pick is. So to define: a cherry pick is when a fighter selects an opponent that has absolutely 0 chance to win, is very low ranked or not ranked at all, is completely outmatched and there is no upside to the fight as far as money or title or a title eliminator that results in a title fight, a fight after a long lay off, or a tune up for a major fight that is already known is the fighters next fight.

Now please give me your list. just the names.
War torn Cotto, A walking weight drained dead man in Canelo, pillow gloved Maidana, De la hoya year long lay off, an ancient Mosley after more then a year long lay off, cheap shotted Ortiz, a shot Gatti. I'll give him Corrales

The question is who has he beat in their prime worth talking about

    • Manny is good to watch at whatever weight.

      • Who cares if Manny goes down to 140. 140 is already big for the natural lightweight. I wouldn't have a problem with Floyd ever fighting at 154 again either

When did Floyd moved down, last I recall he fought at a catch weight of 144lbs against JMM rescheduled the fight because of a questionable broken ribs and then cheated JMM on the scale would you call that an excuse becoming reasonable? come to think of it he is a catch weight king after all

Your calling these guys cherry picks? lmao some dangerous cherry picks dont you think? Or are you saying that Mayweather is so good that these fighters can be viewed as cherry picks when he fights them.

Cotto coming off of 3 wins ranked number 1 at light middleweight, holding the WBC super world light middleweight tittle. Top 6 grossing fight in boxing history.

Canelo young and strong, his camp asked for the weight first, and if you dont consider Pac fighting a catch weight against Cotto and Margaritto cherry picking, you are nothing but a biased hater. No to mention Canelo was ranked #1 Light middleweight held the WBC world light middleweight belt and the fight is the #1 grossing fight in boxing history.

Maidana was ranked #1 for the WBA held the WBA super world Welterweight title, and was a live dog.

De La Hoya had already fought from long layoffs multpile times before that fight and was already used to it. De La Hoya was also the WBC world Light middleweight champion and the fight is the #2 grossing fight in boxing history

Mosley was coming off of one of the biggest wins in his career, held the WBA world welterweight title, and Mayweather attempted to fight Mosley many times before this fight and Mosley never wanted the fight.

Ortiz was coming off a big win against Berto, ranked #1 and held the WBC world Welterweight title.

Ghatti, it doesn't matter what condition Ghatti was in because he was the man at the weight at the time. Mayweather just moved up to Light Welterweight and had to fight 2 title eliminators to be ranked and get a title shot at Ghattis WBC world Light Welterweight title which Ghatti held at the time.

You guy are simply hilarious. To recap: 2 super world titles, 5 world titles, 3 different weight divisions, 1 hall of famer, 1 soon to be hall of famer, and 1 possible hall of famer, 3 of the top 6 gossing fights of all time 2 of which are #1 and 2 on the list. Thats what you view as a cherry pick?

why would he be criticized if he could make weight.
imagine if he fought hatton at 140 no floyd hater could criticized him for not fighting hatton in his best weight.
if he would fight garcia next, it should be at 140, where garcia is lineal at.
same reasoning why no one should criticize golovkin for wanting to fight floyd at 154. challenging the 154 champion to a 154 fight is reasonable.

haha hate you wrote that whole diatribe but I ment cherrypicked in the sense that they were win's with little substance proving that he never beat them in their prime form. I'm not saying it's his fault but being called TBE over boxer's who had severe disadvantages and not possibly being able to perform in prime condition is ludicrous.

Why would he move down? It shouldn't be a badge of honor for Pac to move down. Like I said, if Floyd did it, you guys would be screaming that he ducked the WW division while it was HOT again!!! Save the Marquez crap. Marquez signed a contract to continue w/the fight, and has not wanted a rematch. That tells u all we need to know.

We will never know for sure, but there is no way that I believe differently, not with all the double standards that you guys throw around when it comes to Pac and Floyd. There shouldn't be any hate as it now, him fighting Hatton at 147. Floyd was the champ at 147, Hatton had been a champ there and Floyd was the draw. There should be no reasonable reason for ANYONE to criticize that win. But they will regardless. I'm sure they would have something else to say, if he had fought him at 140.

Of course they should be criticizing Golovkin. He is a MIDDLEWEIGHT for God sakes. Floyd weighs in under 147 for almost every fight and never comes in over 151. Golovkin 1. hasn't EVER fought at 154, so we don't even know if he could make it there. 2. Ward and others are calling for him, why not fight someone older and younger rather than a guy who is smaller than you and 37 yrs old to prove yourself? 3. It's a lose lose for Floyd regardless. If he loses, he everyone says "see, we knew he was a fraud". If he win's "GGG was drained". So why would he bother???

Cherry pick does not mean that the opponent has no chance to win. Especially in boxing. Anything can happen. I guess you never heard of the line "A cherry pick gone wrong"???

Same goes with a duck. It does not necessarily mean that you would lose the fight.

                      Example of cherry pick,
Floyd cherry picked Marquez. Marquez had just moved to the 135 division and had to jump 2 more divisions to fight Floyd.

                      Example of duck:
Floyd ducked Margarito. For Floyd, the risk was too high. That is the risk that Floyd would have left a piece of him in the ring that night and never be the same. That is why people say that Floyd shouldn't have retired and should have fought those wars that he missed out on. Instead he went AWOL ..... health comes first!

As for a list, I think that I posted that in this thread. Maybe not all the names ........

BTW - I just reread your definition of a cherry pick and all possible excuses, I mean exclusions! Thanks for the laugh!
