Risk vs reward. Someone like Martinez presented too much risk .....

They (eg Martinez) said that Manny was too small. Floyd would make more sense as he is bigger and as stated, has fought at 154 before and currently holds a title there.
So you choose to ignore where Pacquaio said he would agree to fight Martinez at 150, but then changed his mind when Sergio agreed. Right on.

Sorry but it is you who chooses to ignore this. So Martinez knew what time it is. You on the other hand ......

Again, Manny tried once and realized it was too high for him.

Sergio Martinez: "Pacquiao is too small. It is a mismatch"

WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez shocked the entire boxing world at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. In a rematch of last December's "fight of the year" candidate, Martinez used a single left hook to knock Paul Williams out cold in the second round. A crowd of 5,502 were left stunned at the New Jersey venue.

Floyd on the other hand has fought at 154 3 times and currently holds a title there. Not the same thing. Easy to understand.

Pacquiao has and always been a Bum.

I said him re signing with Top Rank was strategic to duck Floyd. Now hes not only ducking Floyd, hes avoiding Thurman, Porter, Khan, Maidana, Canelo, Lara, Brook.. This is the cherry pick of the Century.

Ruslan beat Algieri. But I'm pulling for Algieri to floor this third world Bum. Boxing without the Pac Tards is a beautiful sport.

Please explain to me why black HOF fighters like leonard, hagler, tyson, etc. all say that floyd avoided certain fighters.

"It's a disgrace what they (Pacquiao's camp) are asking,"

"It would be better if they just said they didn't want to fight me, because they know I'll knock him out."
          http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/box...her-fight.html

He also said a number of times that he thought Mayweather would be willing to fight him, but Pacquaio wouldn't be:

Regarding Pacquiao - "He said he wanted to fight me at 150 pounds. I accepted. When I reached the conclusion that I could make that weight, I accepted. And now he says he wants it at 147 pounds. I've not made that weight in twelve years. I don't think I can make even if I cut off both legs. It is physically impossible. Pacquiao is completely ruled out."

Regarding Mayweather - "With Mayweather it's possible. We're going to make a proposal and carry it forward. It would take place at 150 or 151 pounds. That would be the agreed weight. Mayweather is a possibility and that's quite solid and concrete. You do not need a title for us to fight. But anything is possible."

Also, I didn't see Pacquaio trying to fight Paul Williams, but his fans don't call him out for ducking there.
          you lie.
i wasted my time reading the article.
underlined paragraph does not exist in the article.
you invented some lie then condition your mind to believe it.
is that the only way floyd's fans can defend floyd.

Mayweather has been as high as what? 151? And he's criticized for not fighting guys who rehydrate to 160 or higher.

Pac wouldn't even fight Cotto at 147, but he fought Margs at 150. If that's not a cherry pick, I don't know what is.

pac is smaller and would probably fight garcia at 140.

let floyd try to fight from 130-147 in the span of 4 fights without getting a catchweight.
floyd has fought in 154 since 2007 . when he had ask for a catchweight in the canelo fight in 2013- it raises some eyebrows.

show me all floyd's fight night weight since he move to welterweight. then i would agree that he hadn't fought above 151.

Manny only fought once that high and said that he doesn't wish to do it again. Not hard to understand.

As for you saying Manny said yes at 150. You are wrong. Manny said maybe at around 150 and also sounded concerned about the weight. Which brings us back to my above point that Manny made. He didn't think it was a good idea for him to fight above 147.

Again, even Martinez thought that Manny was too small as I posted already.
Sergio Martinez: "Pacquiao is too small. It is a mismatch"

Here is a quote for fighting Manny at 150:

"Manny is a little fighter even at 150" - Martinez

There is more that I can say but most people would get it. Manny was not keen in going over 147 after Margarito fight and Martinez would have a hard time making 150.

Personally, if Manny had already fought Floyd, I believed that a Martinez fight had a better chance. Fight Floyd then Martinez then retire.

                    .

Mayweather fought once at 154 for a huge money fight against De La Hoya, Floyd didn't fight at 154 again till years later where he would fight for his third highest pay day against Miguel Cotto.
