So in all essence, Chavez Jr retired a pound for pound world Champion in his prime from injuries suffered in a knockdown at JR's hands. Looks like one hall of fame, two JC Chavezes. Recognize.

Cotto is a monster. First he retires Margarito and now Sergio, Canelo should stay far, far away.

Martinez is finished. If he must return to the ring, Jermain Taylor is the right fight for him. I personally think he would lose to JT, but I'd watch it.

Farewell fight? For what? He's done. Cotto only got the leftovers and ran away with doggie bag as he did with washed up, beat up Margarito. He thought he'd catch an over-the-hill Mayweather but leftovers was still fresh, so it didn't work. GGG will ko cotto and uncooked Canelo would outbox or stop Cotto. He'll have no part of them.

He's looked way off his best in two consecutive fights. He was lucky to escape against a relatively ordinary fighter in the first, he was totally dominated by a blown up welterweight in the second. At the age of 39, your form is not suddenly going to take a dramatic turn for the better.

He's done. Don't expect to see him ever getting in the ring again.

Farewell Sergio. Boxing will never forget your presence and dominance at Middleweight

I agree Taylor is the most interesting fight for Sergio if he does make a return. Would be competitive yet not too much of a health risk.

that fight against Chavez ruined him,but not because of the punches Chavez threw, but because of the injury,he just wasn't the same anymore after that night, plus the surgeries and long layoffs, yeah he can have one more fight but I doubt he can compete at the highest level,i thought he lost his fight against murray and looked awful

maravilla should have retired after the chavez fight, he already looked like sçhit vs murray...
and if he comes back he might as well use a wheel chair...
