And most fighters at some point get hurt/dropped/struggle with inferior comp. Not even close with this guy. For example Broner should have lost 2x before he ever got that vacant title shot.

I'd rather tell people I got hit by a speedy ex-champ like Reese, than a slow nobody like Adama.

Are you denying Rees was a reigning Champion?
Adama was a Champion once.....in his slow-motion dreams.
I'd rather tell people I got hit by a former Champ than by somebody they pulled from the seats 15 minutes before the fight.

Obvisouly I would love to see better competition but you can only do what you do. I mean the dude has two titles if I'm right and still has problems to get fights at his weight.
Cotto is understandable to me, because he is not a real MW and he actually looks for a payday. I mean Cotto has character and I wouldn't put him past him that he says whatever I take him on but I think for Cotto Canelo, maybe Pacquiao, maybe Mayweather are better options. He had a great career.
But other fighters at MW shouldn't have that excuse - I mean most guys are looking to make a career - it is not like they have so huge names that they could say Golovkin is a to small of a name.
I actually like Golovkin's style. He is always close to his oppenent. He cuts them off great and having an opponent in front of you all the time just puts mental pressure on you. Great balance.
In the fights that went longer I never saw him tire or anything and let's be honest he just must have unbelievable power. He doesn't look like it but I mean he blasts ppl out in a few rounds that went 8, 10, 12 rounds with champions. He must be very heavy handed.
Would like to see him get some good matches. Andre Ward down the stretch if he should compain at 168 or maybe Froch - should be interesting - maybe Canelo if he moves up to 160.
I'm not crowning him ATG but he definitely has some tools. Of course I have and I want to see more

Broner is fighting in a more competitve enviroment than Golovkin.
Broner tested himself at 23
GGG refuses to at 33.
Broner was asked to take risks and test himself.
I don't hear that same request for GGG.
Too bad Golovkin isn't as ambitious as Broner.
