Joking aside though, I think thats a great example. You think he could tidy up Wilder?

He needs a lot of work but I do not think it would hurt I believe he trains currently with Mark Breland and tbh I haven't seen any improvement in Wilder personally. He has size, speed & power obviously its not like he doesn't have great tools to work with but from a technical standpoint he looks the same to me as he did back when he was an amateur, which is quite worrying.

I believe Bernard help train, sparred with and helped come up with the gameplan for Rosado when he fought GGG. Could be wrong but pretty sure I read it somewhere and he definitely fought different to usual though that could of been down to GGG and his power.

Impossible to say. Lots of fighters suck at training. Just like nba just cause you were grest doesn't mean you'll be able to teach

Probably doesn't want the stress of having to train someone and them not following the gameplan.
Yeah, I think I recall that, but fighters say a lot of things. It would be a shame if he couldnt take one or two fighters under his wing and give it a go, but I get it that he might find it frustrating if he feels his charge isnt listening to him. A guy as proud as him might see it as his rep on the line. I for one hope he does give it a go as I think he could improve a hell of a lot of fighters.

This is also true, but he seems to just be bursting with knowledge and his experience is second to none. Whatever he does I hope the sport retains him.

I was a huge fan of Breland as a fighter, but he doesnt seem to be getting much out of Wilder. To be fair to him, he hasnt really had to up until now as his opposition hasnt forced much out of him.

                  sad.

his best gift to boxing is his knowledge. all he wants to do now is make money.

the sport would be better if hopkins was a trainer.

Get him on commentary, have him break down fights and styles kinda like Atlas does on FNF

True, but I'm hoping he changes his mind.
