Hopkins as a trainer - Could it work and what fighters could he help?

Hopkins may choose this path or he may not. Truth is only he will know what he intends to do when and if he hangs them up soon. I think he could excel as a trainer as he has an absolutely huge knowledge of every aspect of what it takes to be a great fighter and the experience to back it up.

The sports future looks in pretty good shape with the amount of talent coming through, those nearly at world level and also fighters whose career has stuttered a little. Who do you think could really benefit from tapping B-hops boxing brain?

I was wondering if someone like Wilder would do good under his charge. I dont think its just down to being able to show someone his own style and teach them that, but how and if he could articulate his own experience over his time as a fighter and get more out of a fighter.

True, but could you think of anyone specifically, right now that is maybe not making the most of what they have and could maybe get an extra 10% for example out of using b-hop or anyone you think would be a good fit for him?

Adrien Broner I feel would be a great fit, maybe Berto and a lot of wannabe slicksters from The Mayweather gym.

My god that would be interesting! I could imagine Broner doing his usual crap talking routine then stopping dead mid-sentence when he catches Nard giving him that C'mon son! look.

Joking aside though, I think thats a great example. You think he could tidy up Wilder?

Didn't Hopkins say he doesn't want to be a trainer when he retires? I thought he said he won't be a trainer and just focus on promoting and business instead.

Probably doesn't want the stress of having to train someone and them not following the gameplan.
